Amazing temple built 750 years ago that withstood the earthquakes. The building is 118m long with a wooden infrastructure. Pretty amazing. Nice garden on the side. Very busy place in this touristic season

Great wooden hall with all the thousand wooden statues inside. Unfortunately it is prohibited to take photos inside to protect the delicate nature of the statues but a great site to see for Buddhism enthusiasts. The main statue of Kannon with the thousand arms is amazing. Also interesting to read about the history of the complex being used for archery contests and one test being for some one to shoot an arrow straight across the entire length of the back hallway and hitting a target. Closes at 4pm March - November and closes at 5pm November to March. Not sure why it’s longer in winter. But they recommend last entry an hour before closing. Close to bus stops and sightseeing tour busses will stop by as well.

Came here as part of guided tour of Kyoto. We had never seen anything like this place - 1000 statues of Buddha each with slightly different facial features. The other statues of gods were quite scary with piercing eyes. Well worth a visit if visiting Kyoto. My husband was disappointed that photography was not allowed within the temple.

Impressive sanctuary with the main Kannon of 3 meters high, 28 guardians and 1001 statues of Kannon each with a different face, all statues are handmade. It’s really impressive and astonishing. As it’s a sacred place, you have to leave your shoes outside and pictures are not allowed. Even if you’re not a religious person, the place transmits a huge respect and peace. The building is surrounded by beautiful and well-kept gardens. A must visit if you are in Kyoto. Entrance is 600yens which is around 3€.

Beautiful gardens. Photography is not allowed inside out of respect. Once inside you can see the 1000 statues which are made of wood and are very impressive. FYI- Shoes must be removed and everyone is walking around.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
