Santiago Bay Garden & Resort

The hotels location, with view on Santiago beach is really beautiful. The hotel is equipped with two clean looking pools and a restaurant with good food. Around the hotel you can find some restaurants and bars. The outside area of the hotel has some well maintained areas like the garden, but in general the hotel looks slightly run down. We booked a non aircon room for three people (the hotel had the option to add a third person to the room) was not fitting at all for three people. They gave us a thin, uncomfortable mattress as a third bed and there was barely space on the floor for it. They shouldn’t even give the option to add people to this room. The next morning we were woken up by the very loud sounds of the surroundings, apparently the room was beside the kitchen. Very bad placing of this room and it is not build in a good way because you can hear every single sound from outside. Also there was a big trash can in front of our room and in the night some dogs came to look for food in it and made a lot of noise, so we woke up from it. In general not very good/enough service for this big resort (You have to walk a long way to get whatever you need). They had NO DRINKING WATER, they forgot to put towels in our room, not enough toilet paper, there was a bad smell coming from the toilets drain, the fan wasn‘t working properly and it was a hot room. At the end the owner gave us 20% back of our money, didn‘t make any sense because we even needed to pay more for the thin, uncomfortable mattress and the adding price was still more then the 20% we was willing to give back. At the end we still paid more. We had a very unpleasant night and it is not a place I would recommend to go. Don't let the first impression and the good online reviews fool you.

The best place to relax and have your vacation just like in paradise. The pristine white sand is nice. They have tour packages to choose from and beach volleyball.
