        The hotel caught fire and didn't have any fire alarms. 🔥 They abandoned the guests. We had to escape with children through the roof. They refuse to provide refunds. The hotel is now closed by authorities. Authorities of Mexico City require hotels to have fire exits and alarms, but they also failed to do proper checks and allowed this hotel, and possibly others, to operate in unsafe conditions. The prestige of Mexico City as a tourist destination is unfortunately badly damaged.

        Yes, it is an older property, but the rooms are clean and the staff is amazing. Beds are firm (which I prefer), each room has a spigot for purified water (on the side, near the sink), and the showers have excellent pressure with plenty of hot water. The restaurant in the hotel is excellent with fantastic staff. I would definitely stay again. Tips - the TV is controlled by a master switch by the door and the air conditioning is controlled by a sliding wood door on the ceiling of the room. Also, if you want to use the in-room safe, you will need to get a lock and key from the front desk, which will require a refundable deposit. The ice is in an ice bin near the elevator, and is routinely refilled by a vendor that supplies ice that is made from purified water. They turn the air off whenever they think the temperature outside warrants it. So, you don't want a room on the 1st floor (so that you can leave the window open when necessary) and you'll want a room where the window is open to interior area rather than street (because street noise).

        The front desk and the bell boy were very friendly. The room were nice. One feature worthy of mentioning is the purified water faucet in the room which made a big difference for us. We always had good water to drink and brush teeth. The hotel restaurant was excellent in price. The food was tasty. It seemed open all times during the day. Highly recommend the restaurant. The only reason we give it 4 star is because of the location.

        Nice staff, good customer service, and great value. It is what it is, and it seemed like a hotel from the 80s/90s -but the sheets/towels were clean, the water pressure and temperature were fine, and the ice area was re-filled daily. I had zero issues while staying here. I tried out their breakfast one time, and it was ok -but there are tons of restaurants in the area to explore. The #1 thing about this hotel was the location. It's a two minute walk to the subway and very centrally located to most of CDMX. At night I always took Ubers -and most rides were the equivalent of $5 US. There's also an Oxxo just up the street (to purchase water and snacks), along with two 24 hour diners within the area. PS: they will clean your room even if you don't put out the room placard. So I guess by default they clean all rooms daily, unless the "do not disturb" sign is physically on your door. Oh, and they have cheap laundry/dry-cleaning available, but for no irons in the room or at the front desk.

        I had a reservation and when i got there the hotel was closed by the authorities. And they never sent me a notification or anything
