This resort was the perfect place to stay for our trip to Vic Falls! From check in where we served delicious iced tea to check out when they helped arranged a different airport transport at the last moment the staff was accommodating, friendly, and kind. In particular, the woman at the activities desk was super helpful answering questions and chatting with me! We had booked most of our activities ahead of time with a travel agent, but there was no need as the hotel staff can handle booking everything on site. Highly recommended this resort for anyone considering it!

I stayed for 5 nights, one in the hotel room and 4 in the tents. Overall, I had an incredible experience with my stay. The hotel was lovely, the staff in all aspects whether serving, activities or front desk, everyone was beyond friendly. Made my experience as a solo traveller incredible. Very easy to work with if things needed to be changed. I really could not have asked for a much better experience during my stay!

I couldn't give 5⭐ to Shearwater for a few particular reasons. I'm a Zimbabwean local and whenever I visit places I like to be objective. Shearwater Village has its beautiful atmosphere, not top notch but it's beautiful. 1. The staff are overwhelmed. They couldn't serve us our food orders on time. 2. They have really limited variety on their food menu. 3. The menu is not ideal for any African visitor. It caters to the European and American family diets only. I get it, they receive a lot of Tourists from abroad, but I believe Africans also visit the place from time time. 4. The rooms are fairly okay, however, as I said earlier, the staff are overwhelmed. They don't change towels regularly. They don't refill the shampoo and body wash bottle. I don't know whether it's a resource saving mechanism or what🤷🏾‍♂️? 5. There aren't any room service phones. I felt that was necessary. Anyway maybe it's their style. 6. Make sure you iron your clothes before you leave home. On the brighter side. The staff are very respectful, helpful and friendly.

Nice rooms and many staff around to help you. Easy walk to town or to the falls. But they are very serious about making money. My friend had to cancel due to a family emergency and they wouldn’t refund her money. You can’t charge anything to the room - you have to pay for everything up front (even a $2 bottle of water). They even hunted me down in my room while I was napping to make me pay for the airport transfer. Additionally, I had emailed the manager to arrange the airport transfer, and she never confirmed, so I had to explain the situation to the driver at the airport since he didn’t have my name. Even after arriving at the hotel, I was told the manager would respond to the other points in my email, but she never did.
