Rooms are dated and need repairs. Carpet has seen its better days and has that beachy musty smell. Wake up call at 4:30 am which we did not ask for plus the leaking air conditioning condensation tubing was just some of the issues. Food and service were great. This could be a nice place with some TLC.

The good: This hotel is well worth the cost and the drive. Awesome views, friendly staff, great restaurants. The club floor access (snacks and free tea/coffee 24/7) and free breakfast was fantastic. Large pool and jacuzzi had ample seating. The beach access was steps away! The hotel is located next to a paved downhill trail to Leblon beach. Fantastic panoramic views of the nearby favelas and beaches. The bad: the hotel is in need of an exterior makeover. Our hotel room came with a queen size bed instead of a king size bed. We found a small roach on our bathroom vanity. At random times, the hallway smelled like sewage (a common problem we noticed throughout Rio). Aside from the issues listed above, this place is awesome and I’d stay there again.

Iconic beachfront property in Rio, with breathtaking views overlooking Leblon and Ipanema beaches. The best part is the feeling of a true resort secluded from the city, and the sounds of the sea instead of road/city noises. All staff members went out of their way to accommodate guests requests and provided outstanding service. Rooms are well kept, bathrooms could use some improvements at some point. Excellent status recognition.

During my stay at Sheraton Grand Rio Hotel, I couldn't help but be captivated by its private beach – a tranquil haven that provided a perfect escape. The wonderful pool became my daily retreat, offering not just a refreshing dip but an immersive experience in a well-maintained oasis. What truly elevated my stay was the amazing and helpful staff; their genuine warmth and efficiency added an extra layer of comfort and enjoyment to my time at the hotel. All in all, Sheraton Grand Rio Hotel seamlessly combines natural beauty with attentive service, making it a memorable destination for a relaxing getaway. The only downside was the room which could use some renovation and the carpeting on the halls smelled a bit.

My husband and I spent 9 days at this amazing resort. This is by far the best vacation we’ve been on. The staff was absolutely fantastic and made us feel welcome. I highly recommend trying all the restaurants, spa, and the happy hour. If you are coming to Rio, this is the best hotel by far.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
