        Unfortunately I had not read the reviews otherwise I would never have booked it. The facade of the building is stunning and the entrance hall and reception looks good but the rooms have been carved out of a lovely space to make odd shapes and spaces . The furniture is very dated and scratched and marked , the sofa bed for 2 teenagers was so hard they slept on the floor , no additional pillows available, everything for 3 people when we had 4 . TV remotes not working , light in the bedroom hanging off . The dining room is so small , limited supplies if you are a late riser , no butter for toast , main cooked breakfast cold etc . For what we paid for a 1 night stay in an " executive suite " it was very poor . We would not stay again, which is a shame as lovely location .

        Unfortunately I was pretty disappointed and unsatisfied with the room. The cleanliness of the room did not match the price charged. It was dirty, smelly and not in great condition. Broken blinds, with food on the fabric. Stained bed sheets, stained chair, And stained floor. Light switches covered in sticky fingerprints. Mirrors covered in smudges. The bathroom smelled like it had just been used before we entered the room. The shower felt unclean. Old towels that are frayed on the ends. And light bulbs not working. Generally it felt like we were sleeping in a room that someone had just used. To top it off we noticed the shower which was up a staircase and above the entrance to the room was leaking through the ceiling and down the wall/door. It was however in a good location and looked nice from the street. Unfortunately I do not recommend or would ever go back.

        I injured my foot upon arrival, due to a step up into the bathroom which was not signposted on the door and then we opened the floor to ceiling curtains to discover we were below street level. Staff weren't overly friendly either. Situated in a nice area close to the tube, the hotel itself is lovely and the selection of drinks and toiletries etc. in the room was excellent. Really appreciated the aircon.

        Location, size of room and front desk staff service are very good. The soundproof issue from other comments -- it's true, walls are kind of thin, but ppl are generally civilized, did hear from next door but not much sound after 11pm, not sure if it's by luck but it wasn't a problem during my stay. Room cleaning and maintenance are the drawback. For my room, top of window was not cleaned at all, lots of wood, looked like a carpenter just worked there. For my colleague's room, it was said that the whole bath sink was entirely dirty and uncleaned. Regarding maintenance, the switch knob (on/off) of my room's shower was dripping water, producing constant noise. One has to turn it very specifically into a position to stop so, which is impossible not for the cleaner to notice and report. For my colleague's room, it was fixed at pure hot water at the shower, such that a technician was needed to fix the problem. With better room cleaning and maintenance, it has the potential to be a good hotel.

        Amazing find, good location and lovely staff. The room had a few little bits that needed some attention but it didn't take away from the overall experience. I will definitely stay again.
