        THIS HOTEL IS A SCAM!!DONT BOOK THIS HOTEL To Google: - the extremely slow checking in service with no aircond/fan in the lobby area. - the whole hotel is under renovation. The elevators are so dirty and you will not even feel want to touch it. - We were placed in the construction level, so dust everywhere, ac is not cold at all (not working), bathroom's light is extremely dim and extremely dirty(so disgusting), and towels are grayish and smell like musty. the bedsheet is very dirty full of blood and small hole everywhere bcs of cigarettes - ceiling is leaking, mosaic is moldy, the vinyl floor is not in good condition and breaking apart. the wall is dirty and the aircond is leaking but they put tissue in the hole. - overall, this hotel is not for human being. its only suitable for SMART HOTEL staff. To Smart Hotel: just stop accepting guest during heavy renovation or at least do not place guests in a floor that is in the middle of renovation. You guys are the worst! To all people: Do not book this hotel, they're on heavy renovation and have the worse room ever. They even charge you although you cancel the booking without us knowing they're renovating the whole place! They are scammers

        I arrived a few hours late (way past midnight) but staff was up to the task for a quick check-in, languages spoken, english & bahasa, what impressed me was the fact that they allowed me to check in even being above the child limit quota per room which was 2 and i had 4 but they still allowed me and i'm greatful for that, no extra charges, they DON'T provide extra beds though so improvise. The room has seen better days, the corridor carpet was in BAD condition the flooring was soft to the step it feels like the place was falling apart but they are renovating so i hope things improve. The wall are too thin u can hear your neighbors shenanigans, the corridor lights need to be brighter too. *The real highlight of the hotel is its location and the hotel STAFF, the staff is super nice, friendly and respectful very polite and very friendly to children and they are also very helpful, they made the stay worthwhile and made the hotel homey and cosy for those that dont fuss too much about room/toilet space and a little dirt here and there smart hotel is alright for a 2 star venue i would give them 5* for the staff and an almost 2* for the current condition of the hotel. Wifi was fast and on point. In all public areas and rooms. A key note is if you have booked via 3rd party hotel apps like agoda the hotel will still ask for a deposit of 200k (for loss key card & in-room smoking fine) there is no smoking rooms on the venue, dont get fooled by the option provided by the apps, if you smoke in the room then consider the deposit gone, in my case i smoked in the loo and it was worth it. But heed the advice, don't smoke in the rooms. Either way smart hotel is still a livable hotel managed by nice people.

        I stayed here from 3 nights. I checked in late around 8 pm and the receptionist gave me room at 5th floor. The room was dirty. I found used tissue on the floor, the bedroom smells cigarette smoke and the bed sheet was dirty, sandy and stained. I asked the room service to clean it up while I was out for dinner with my partner. After we came back, the room had not been cleaned up yet. Only the used tissue on the floor was gone. The dirty sheet still there. They didnt change it because I notice the same stained on the sheet before. The bathroom still smelled cigar too. But because my spouse and I was really tired, so just let it slide. The room didnt have bathroom mat. They dont offer room service for cleaning unless you asked for it. They didnt give you drink water unless you asked for it too. The location is great because is so close with BNI city station. They have on going renovation that has been working since 2022. Its an old hotel but not so clean and has this weird feeling. If you want to stay around Thamrin area, better choose another hotel if you have more budget.

        This the 1st but also the last time i choose this hotel. The name is smart, but the mins I got there I instantly realize I was not smart choosing this hotel. Understandable under construction situation, but the slow checking in and waterless room was not smart at all.
