        We were in Auckland for the views and the tennis. The foyer was gorgeous, but that's where the fun stopped. We were allocated room 303 that looked out onto a shared courtyard. Unless you were happy with people looking into your room (we weren't), then the blockout curtains needed to be closed. This room with no outside views was not value for money. We were offered an alternative room. However, it had a very funky smell. This did put a damper on an overall amazing weekend in Auckland. I will say the in-house restaurant was delicious fine dining and great service.

        Stayed at the So over the weekend with my partner. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. We arrived midday thinking we would just drop bags off until the room was ready but they let us check in early at no additional expense. Check in was really easy, the facilities were all described and shown how to use elevators etc. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated and comfortable. It felt very luxurious having a bath in the hotel room. There was an event on at Hi So from 5pm so we had an afternoon drink there and it was fabulous, staff were attentive and we were never waiting too long even though the bar filled up quickly. Breakfast was on par with other Accor hotels we have stayed at, but the view is stunning. The receptionist Ike really stood out. She was attentive, kind, always available for questions. While I was waiting in line there was a frustrated guest - by overhearing the conversation it sounded like it was all standard hotel t&cs and he was being very unreasonable about the hiso being closed. Ike handled herself really well, offered solutions where she could and maintained professionalism while dealing with a difficult guest. Would absolutely love to come and stay again.

        My husband and I had a night away in the city and chose So because of the location and it had a roof top bar which was appealing. However the roof top bar was very disappointing. The service was awful. There were not many people in the bar however we had to wait a long time to get served and then for the drinks to arrive. I went up to the bar to order - 5 staff behind the bar. No one else waiting. It was several minutes before someone acknowledged me. They said they would bring drink over. Didn't arrive. Went back up. No-one knew about it. No apologies. Bar person made it reluctantly ( it seemed) . Service 3 star because of this. However - front of house staff at reception and valet staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice and the complimentary mini bar was a nice touch. Great location.

        When we arrived, we were told 1.5 hours until our room was ready. We weren't shown any of the amenities to use while we waited, simply left to our own devices. We waited almost 4 hours for the room, at which point we were informed about the pool, sauna, and gym downstairs, which we had let ourselves into and still had wet hair from, which was embarrassing to be told about when we had clearly already used it. Our bags were also left unattended so when we wanted to grab our bathing suits, we waited at the concierge and when no one showed up we just walked around the corner to open our own bags and get what we needed. It was unprofessional and sloppy service frankly, especially for a "five star" hotel. The room itself was great, weird that there was such poor lighting specifically around the mirror, but clean and well stocked.

        We had an absolutely amazing stay at SO Auckland! Just hopped off our cruise and checked into a luxurious king sized soon on the 12th floor. Service, bedding, amenities and view from the room were all outstanding. The gym, swimming pool and sauna were a lovely way to relax after walking the city! Highly recommend a stay here at SO!

          Booking Policy
          It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.
          The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

          If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.
          Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.
          Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.
          The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.
