I didn't know about the SOJO Hotel brand but was pleasantly surprised by how nice everything was designed, the aesthetics. The vibes are chill, love the lights and also the balcony / patio view. Room: I knew my room was going to be small because I wasn't going to be spending lots of time here but once I saw it and all the cool features of the room, it made the room unique & cool. Even my room smelled nice! I had a great view too and I liked auto double blinds. One to block some light and the other to block out all light. The staff was very friendly & kind. Location: I had no idea there was a mall so close by! Inside the mall is also a grocery store. Also, I think it tool me 10-15 mins to walk down to the water. I then walked West along the water and almost got to the bridge by the big ferris wheel. Definitely can walk everywhere. But just like HCMC and Hanoi, sidewalks are hit and miss. Cool area down by the water, big "boardwalks" with plenty of space for crowds or runners/joggers. A few store front restaurants around, more "mom & pop" type restaurants so I'm not sure you can rely on info from Google maps on those. There is a fast food Lotteria close which helps. And a grocery store inside the mall. Breakfast: Instead of the Western breakfast, the breakfast that day (not sure if it changes daily or weekly but was just told that breakfast would be Seafood Noodle Soup or something like that). Whatever the name was, it was delicious! Overall, my stay was a good one. Wish I could stay more than one night!

We wanted a combination of having a great location, being affordable and a newer hotel! Most notable the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable! There are two blinds you can use one lets light through and the other work like blackout blinds to give you a deeper sleep. Pros - Great location - Very affordable - Everything feels new and modern with the client in mind - Great service - Communal washer and dryer you can use! No charge depending on the suite you pick - Has a fun bar and cozy area for interacting with others Cons - The rooms are quite small, everything is close together - You feel like you don't have much privacy when you're using the toilet - Smaller than most other hotel rooms at this price point Overall its a great place to stay at if you want no frills, a good night sleep and a great location! Ideal to sleep alone or share if you're a couple, as its very cozy and tight. However to share with friends might be a bit too close for comfort depending on your relationship!

EDIT: Sojo invited us back to the hotel and gave us a perfect stay so I updated the score. The room is modern and clean. You control everything (light, tv, blinders, etc) with an app on your phone which is cool. The breakfast was bad every day. Every day, the girl would ask us if we wanted tea or coffee. One day, we asked if she had bac xieu. She did yes. Later she charged us 110k for the 2 coffees. I explained that I didn't knew it was extra charge, that she hadn't said anything about this not being part of the breakfast. She didn't take it off the bill. I think this is unacceptable for a hotel in this price range. The last day, the girl asked me to review the hotel on their ipad. She already filled in 5 stars everywhere. It was all in Vietnamese. I think she tried to manipulate her rating (same girl as the girl from the coffee). This as well is not how you treat customers in a hotel of this price range. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and i like the hotel, but after the two situations with the girl and 5 bad breakfasts I cannot give this hotel more than 3 stars considering the price. Either lower your prices significantly, or bring your food and service level up to standard. I do want to mention that the rest of the staff was very professional.

Best Hotel Experience in Vietnam. If you are looking for a recharge and are a westerner this is the place to go. Downtown and lots of things in walking distance or grabbing distance. Staff is extremely attentive which is better than any hotel I have ever stayed in! We will be coming back on all of our future Vietnam trips. Also a washer and dryer is fantastic. For those who don't want to hang dry clothes.

Best Hotel I've ever stayed at in all my years of travel. You really get what you see in the pictures, ultra modern room and spaces that are spanking new and designed with the customer in mind- where do you find a hotel with an open kitchen to use, washer n dryer, many work area etc. We enjoyed just chilling on the 9th n 10th floor. You get the sense that they're out to serve you rather than make money from you. Hien our receptionist felt more like our concierge who went the extra mile to find cruise, do transport bookings even for company I chose. Dung also was very conscientious. Both took initiative to always update us. Only downsides to improve: breakfast basic. 95,000 got porridge, egg sausage and toast, coffee, tea, yogurt. Staff can be quieter when there are guests using the reading n lounge spaces; ambient music might help remind them. Overall, can't recommend Sojo at Halong Bay enough. Great value n service. Will certainly return.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

In case of no show at the hotel, you'll be charged the entire booking amount.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
