If you're like me, big hotels are a turn off. I like a quiet homey feel. Sonder Bungalows in Little Italy provided that for me. Some positives were the turntable and LPs, I didn't use them but it took me back in time. The fixtures also gave my a feel of a time gone by. Each bungalow stood on it's own with no common walls between them, nice property. The bed was comfortable, you could cook in the kitchen, I didn't, I did make coffee and I made toast in the morning. The sofa was not my favorite, it would be my only negative.

My husband and I wanted to explore San Diego and the Bungalows were the PERFECT location. We were walking distance for all the places we wanted to visit. The apartments are private, secluded, and we felt safe. Inside, it was for the most part pretty clean. It’s definitely kind of crowded and tight especially in the bathroom, but it’s okay for two people. The biggest downside was that our bed was very squeaky. Any small movement would cause it to creak. Because of this it was uncomfortable to sleep in during the time because we kept waking up. Other than that, it was good, four stars!

I stayed at Sonder in little Italy, and it was amazing. Sonder, and their team, were so understanding when circumstances changed due to the hurricane that hit the Californian coast within the same week I booked the stay. They were understanding, patient, and kind throughout the entirety. Will definitely be staying with Sonder every chance I get!

I had an absolutely delightful 7-night stay at this charming Sonder in the heart of Little Italy. From start to finish, it was a fantastic experience. First and foremost, the location couldn't have been more perfect. Being able to step out and explore the vibrant streets of Little Italy on foot was a true highlight. The local restaurants, shops, and the lively atmosphere were just a stone's throw away, making it incredibly convenient to indulge in the neighborhood's offerings. What truly impressed me was the proximity to the pier, allowing easy access to the ferry to Coronado. It made for a memorable day trip without any hassle. The convenience factor here was certainly a standout feature. Privacy was a key factor for me, and this Airbnb delivered exceptionally well in that regard. I felt like I had my own little sanctuary within the bustling city. The full kitchen was a bonus, allowing me to prepare meals and snacks at my own pace, just as I would at home. Customer service was top-notch. I had the pleasure of contacting them, and their responsiveness was remarkable.They had notified me of a minor issue with the fridge and freezer being out of order, but they promptly provided a mini fridge as an alternative and even refunded $100 for the inconvenience. The only small suggestion I would have is to include an ice tray for making cold drinks, although they did provide an electric kettle in the kitchen for boiling tap water. One minor convenience factor was the number of outlets near the bed. It would have been nice to have an extension cord provided as there weren't many outlets in close proximity. In summary, my stay at The Bungalows was an absolute joy. The location, privacy, and the attentive customer service, including the refund for the fridge issue, made it a memorable experience. I would wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation to fellow travelers looking for a home away from home in San Diego. Thank you for making my trip exceptional!
