        My family stayed at the Sonder Opal location in Chicago over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. We loved our stay here! The apartments were clean, the beds were comfortable, and we loved the space we had in our two bedroom loft apartment—especially the outdoor balcony with the beautiful views! The Sonder App was user friendly and made the check-in very easy. Any time I asked a question on the chat, I got an immediate answer! We will definitely be choosing Sonder for our future stays!

        Excellent stay once again in sonder, no issues in our 4 days stay. We had a nice 2 bedroom apartment with 2 full beds, 2 full bathroom, a sofa bed, a fully stocked kitchen, washer, dryer and cleaning products. The access to the building is through a coded front door and also the access to your apartment with a separate code. Sonder has amazing support with there app and also a phone number for emergencies since there is not a on side personnel. We arrived in a very cold day and were surprised with the heating system. The location in river north is there best location in chicago, we had even locals pointing out how lucky we were of staying in such a nice and safe zone.

        The hotel rooms are what they advertise. Nice and stylish but very basic. The main downgrade in score is two reasons 1. their customer service is absolutely shocking. Failed to respond the 3 emails… 2. the air conditioning is shocking in the room there are two settings either off or fighter jet plane mode. So either stuffy and hot or very noisy! (Check video) Location not bad. They need more storage lockers downstairs.

        Frequented Sonder properties when traveling on biz. NO MORE. Stay at The Opal in October 2023. When using the bath, the toilet shattered. Customer Service team worthless in resolving the matter. Had to vacate the apartment and book a stay at a hotel for the remainder of the trip, which cost $608.00 in ADDITION to the almost $1,400. Sonder charge. No follow up on the matter by Sonder.

        The apartment was spacious and is centrally located. Lots of eating places, cafes and shops in the vicinity. Easy check-in and check-out. The property could use some paint in the apartment and the public areas.
