        My company booked me at the Sonesta on camelback in Phoenix. The location of this hotel is perfect. There are several restaurants, stores, and grocery stores within walking distance, which after a day of work is perfect. However, the rooms are just OK. I prefer the Marriott family of hotels, so I am used to higher end amenities, e.g., bar soap, lotion, coffee in the room. The amenities here are non-existent. The room is clean and comfortable, but it's just a room (the TV is the size of a desktop computer monitor). Lastly if you advertise as extended stay, improve the amenities, e.g., put in a decent gym. A positive is the grounds are really well maintained

        When we come through Phoenix we always stay here. The rooms are always clean, service is great, and you can’t beat the location. It’s near a Trader Joe’s, tons of shopping, a Pizzeria Bianco location, and tons of other restaurants. We always book a suite (we’ve stayed 3 times now), and it’s got plenty of space and we like the big couch in the living room space.

        Ok so I came here like a year ago for my graduation with my bachelor's. Everything was great and they even put tables together for us in the lobby to eat our in and out and treated us like we were at a restaurant with refills of coffee and water. That old manager was amazing! So fast forward to this recent visit. I tell everyone let's go to the same hotel. Great location and it was amazing. Ppl fly and drive in from 3 states. I even upgraded my hotel room for my wife. My elderly handicapped grandmother goes to check into her handicap room. They tell her it has a tub. My grandmother can't life her leg more than maybe 5 inches if that. The manager tells me there is 1 walk in shower in the whole hotel and it's always booked. This is because according to state law they only need 1. So my grandmothers room has two peep holes. One for regular sight and one for a wheel chair. Now that would tell me if someone is wheelchair bound how are they supposed to get into a tub? The room came with a chair to build and place in the shower but how does someone elderly or wheelchair bound put it together and in the tub? Thank God we had family staying with my grandmother but I didn't sleep the two nights I was there because I was worried about my grandmother! The main manager apologized but her body language and tone told me she could care less! Also the handicap rooms are very far from the lobby, now there is a door near the room you can access with your key however there is no handicap parking in the back near the door and the parking garage is further from the handicap parking on the side. There is also no ramp in the back of the building so even if I dropped her off she wouldn't be able to raise her foot to get over the curb. To be fair the support staff was very helpful and even took video of the room for my grandmother to see, the night manager gave us some meal vouchers that we used in the morning however the food was awful and expensive. We ended up paying for some of it because the vouchers didn't cover all of us and it was not good and made from like frozen food boxes. Due to this the management ruined our celebration and my grandmother couldn't bathe for like 3 days Because of this! Bottom line is I will never stay there again!

        For what you pay, very few amenities. No continental breakfast, no freebie shampoo, conditioner or lotion. They only come every 7 days to clean. Free coffee and ice. I was not impressed.

        I booked ahead and asked for a quiet room as my husband was having eye surgery next door in the late afternoon and then a follow up appointment early the next morning. All was well when I checked in. When I parked my car, I noticed a strip of parking spaces taped off. Upon returning after surgery and dinner around 7 p.m, a giant bus/motorhome was in those taped off spaces. The generator was running. I asked at the front desk if the generator was going to run all night because it was extremely loud in our room- it was right outside out balcony. I was told they all had rooms and it will be turned off. At 8:30 p.m, I called the front desk as it was still running and I was going to bed- I'd been up since 4 a.m. The clerk said she would get back to me. In the meantime, I made up the couch for my husband to sleep upright after surgery and he went to sleep. I was told I could move rooms but there was nothing left on our floor. I declined as my husband cannot lift and it was too much to move all of our belongings to the 5th floor. Then I got a call later saying there was a room on our floor, but I was already in bed. The large bus had a florescent pineapple sign in the window- just wondering about those coming and going. Sad that the guests had to be subjected to this- it's not cheap to stay here.
