Couldn't resist sharing my heartfelt recommendation for this remarkable hotel. If the chance arises for another stay, I'd eagerly choose this haven again. An experience worth sharing with dear friends and family. 1. Service: The service here is exceptionally thoughtful. Despite the discreet entrance on the ground floor, the check-in area upstairs is the main focal point. The receptionists fluently speak Chinese, English, and Japanese, ensuring they attend to your needs during the wait. Stepping in, you're immediately greeted with a sense of mutual respect and hospitality. 2. Rooftop: If you check in during the afternoon with a relaxed itinerary, the rooftop of this esteemed hotel is a must-visit. Enjoy a beverage of your choice (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) while taking in the daytime scenery. As night falls, the city lights create a mesmerizing view. If you're fortunate enough to secure an outdoor spot, you might even indulge in a foot soak! 3. Rooms: Opted for a double room this time, and while the living space was a tad smaller, the bathroom facilities were surprisingly spacious. A cozy retreat for sure! 4. Hot Springs: The hotel's hot spring facilities include both indoor and outdoor baths, separated for men and women. During check-in, the front desk informs you whether the baths for the day are indoor or outdoor. Delightfully, the men's bath was outdoors on my visit – a truly indulgent experience. There's even a beauty bath for skincare enthusiasts, and post-soak, you can treat yourself to a refreshing ice pop. Highly recommended!

A very western vibe hotel with stunning terrace views. We picked this hotel for the baths, terrace, and location. The hotel is new, clean, and the staff are all very helpful. The rooms are a good size. The bed was comfortable with quality bedding. The public baths rotate each day between male and female. They offer drink tickets that are used during the specified hours on the rooftop. It was great to enjoy the foot bath, a cocktail, and take in the views of Kyoto.

Very well located hotel in the heart of Kyoto’s tourist area. However, the rooms are extremely small - there wasn’t even any space to keep our suitcases. The luggage forwarding timeline was ridiculous and we were forced to use the service from Kyoto station. The other hotels during our stay in Japan were able to handle this with ease. Overall, I think there may be better hotels in this area.
