Room had a window looking out on a big building only 2 meters away, so no daylight and also no way of opening the window, so no fresh air, besides from a purifier, which doesn't compare. Bathroom was just too tiny. Had breakfast three times, there were either or together too little tables to sit at, too little food at the buffet (the lady working tried her best, but she couldn't stock the buffet as fast as it gone) and the quality of the 'western' food was poor (I cannot judge for the Japanese food, so I won't). Location of the hotel is a plus, lots of cool places in a short distance and food everywhere in the neighbourhood. Although I consider location an important aspect, I value some comfort and nice food as well, and if that is something you do also, try and find a different place.

I booked a twin room and triple room for two nights stay. The bathroom is small, but the total room space was pretty big for a Japanese hotel. The location is good too. It's walking distance to Kawaramachi and there's a bus stop nearby that goes directly to Higashiyama area too. The train station is a 2-3 minutes walk away from the hotel. Also, the staff service is excellent. Even though I made a mistake with my booking, the staff did not charge me any extra for it. Highly recommended if you need a place to stay in Kyoto!

I have stayed there for 5 nights. Inside the room I barely heard any noise. The noise insulation is good. Breakfast was good and quite nutritious. On the last day I forgot something in the hotel and contacted them. They were trying to be helpful and kept the things at the front desk! Service was good!

Amazing location and very clean room! Only a minute walk to Shijo Station and a few stops from Kyoto Station. A 5 minute walk to the city centre and from there you can walk down an entire strip of shops and malls until you end up in places like Nishiki Market. The room was spacious for 2 people and very clean. There are shared amenities such like water and ice machines and washer and dryers. The staff were very helpful in helping us ship our luggage to our next destination! Highly recommend!
