        Nice hotel I likes the room since it had five beds for my family and they had A bathroom with shower in the room and in the stairs there was bathroom with shower. The breakfast was the same with croissant,orange juice, yogurt, small bread with chocolate and a small cheese. The bed was good maybe two pillows or a bigger pillow but it worked. The room was clean the windows were old but they worked. So the hotel was good but it had a 19th century style. Small stairs but good. It had the underground station maybe 500-600 m and many pubs restaurants and everything you need. Could just feel the underground train maybe 30-45 min apart.

        For start, our room was up multiple flights of stairs, and very narrow with old, torn carpet so a trip hazard. When we got to our room, our heating was broken and we were basically in the attic with no heating in minus 3 degrees. The heating was fixed for the second night, but there was no hot water for showers. Even if there was hot water, the shower was unusable due to black mould. No duvets are provided, just thin quilts. The breakfast provided could probably survive a nuclear war. Vacuum packed food with an expiry in years to come other than the yoghurt. Even though it was budget price we were completely ripped off when you consider the service and amenities, I would not recommend whatsoever.

        Stayed in this hotel for carnival as it was a convenient spot and close to everything however I really wish I didn't. It was extremely dirty, the place is infested with bed bugs, I got bit down my arm and all down my back. I'm sure the place is infested with mice as me and my friends (who were in different rooms) could hear noises all through the night. My friends were also bitten by bed bugs. Walls are EXTREMELY thin. You can hear absolutely everything that is going on everywhere in the hotel. Wallpaper peeling, holes in the walls. The mugs/cups were sticky with dirt. I know it's 1 star and I couldn't expect much but the bed bugs and mice are just unacceptable. I wish I looked at reviews before I came because I can see I'm not the only one that's experienced this. Super disappointing as I'm paranoid if I've brought any bed bugs back home.

        Let's start off by pointing out the good points..... there's a fantastic Angus steakhouse around the corner. Now the bad points...... The main light in the room that we were in did not which meant that the room was in complete Darkness except for the overhead bedlamps. We were in room 5 which is right next door to reception which meant on the first night there was someone drunk ringing the bell for reception between 11pm and midnight and disturbed our sleep. The window in our room opened to the view of a brick wall which let absolutely no light in at all. The fridge in the room was a small beer fridge that you would buy from Argos and didn't work. Between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and midnight every 30 seconds to one minute you could feel the vibration of the London Underground beneath your feet. The ensuite shower and toilet is basically a built-in Porter cabin. There were four towls in our room one of which had holes in it. The breakfast included in the price was a pre-packed box with a thick and creamy yogurt, a Kellogg's squares bar, orange juice box, a finger sized pre-packed slice of Gloucester cheese and a pre-packed buttery croissant. In a nutshell something you would send your child into school with as a pack lunch. The decor of the room is second to everywhere. It doesn't even come under the term decor. there are exposed cables. the wood paneling has scattered bits of paintwork, if you can call it wood paneling. The wood paneling is pieces of chipboard put together by what can only be described as an odd job handyman using YouTube as a qualification. Now onto the bed, if you're looking for Comfort look further afield, the only way to describe the comfort is a bed of Blunt nails. Even a bed of nails is good for your back according to Chinese medicine and that's the sharp ones. The pillows are similar story, one out of four looks and feels like it was destroyed by a washing machine. The only saving grace is that the manager/owner gave us a refund after the first day because we checked out after the first night and we were supposed to be there for three days and he immediately refunded us what we were owed back without any hassle or any foul. If you're wanting to stay there as a quick stop or are a backpacker just locking for somewhere to stay the night I recommend elsewhere.

        It was not clean, the toilets were not clean, there was dust everywhere. Selfish with their toiletries. Receptionist was not friendly. The location was great, close to bus stops and Paddington subway.
