I was shocked to see how much of a cut third party websites take from guest houses such as this, so it really helps them if you go direct! My wife and I stayed at Stadium Guest House back in November 2023. Originally planned to be a 7 night stay before moving on to travel the garden route, those plans were somewhat derailed by Omicron and South Africa being placed on the red list by the UK government. First and foremost, we are so grateful that we chose to stay here as Louis and Leana are simply two of the nicest people (and best hosts) you could ever wish for. They helped us through the entire ordeal, allowed us to stay extra nights until we managed to arrange alternate flights home and just tried to minimise the impact this had on our trip as much as possible. It is because of Louis and Leana we both look back on our trip to Cape Town with such fond memories, despite things going on around us being a bit of nightmare! If you read this, thank you so much to you both. We hope you are both happy and well. As for the guesthouse itself, it is exactly as described and shown in the pictures. Everyone has different tastes/expectations when travelling, but all I can say is if you like what you see in the pics (as we did), you will not be disappointed. Our room was huge, with a lovely balcony area overlooking the ocean in the distance. There is a lovely shared terrace with dining table and BBQ area, aswell has a large hot tub with sun-loungers. The area itself feels very safe compared to others in Cape Town, and is easily walkable (day time only is advised) to the Victoria harbour area. Uber is so cheap is South Africa that at night it was literally a few pence to get home safely. There is a supermarket and liquor store a stones throw away for supplies, and numerous cafe's, restaurants and bars close by. I would recommend this area to anyone visiting Cape Town. Louis can organise trips, transfers, provide guidance and recommendations for your stay. He clearly has a love for Cape Town (which is understandable, the place is simply stunning) and this helps you get the most from your trip. What a fantastic, friendly introduction to an amazing country. The guest house is in a great central location. We were able to walk to the Victoria & Albert Waterfront in 10 minutes, we found several restaurants just around the corner in easy walking distance and there is a supermarket just a few hundred metres away. This is especially useful as our room had a fridge, freezer, oven, hob, kettle and all the other paraphernalia you need to self cater. Our room had a pretty little balcony surrounded by palm trees and a great view to the sea. Everything was clean and tidy; hairdryer, soap, shampoo, all provided for. Excellent wifi. Our host Louis was super friendly and very generous with his time. Since this was our first visit to Cape Town, his overview of all the sites to see and things to do were very valuable to us and turned out to be great recommendations. All in all, we loved our stay here and can only recommend the Stadium Guest House to you.
