It's a great option for a budget-friendly stay. The rooms and facilities are okay considering the price and the owner is very kind and accomodating. You are also provided a basic but filling breakfast for an additional cost if required. The best part about the place is the ideal location - it is less than a 2 minute walk from the Ella Train Station and also the main Ella town area. If needed you can also easily walk to most of the tourist spots/activities from this place. You need to reach the place via stairs so it isn't accesible to people who may have challenges with mobility. We had one issue with the place which was the lack of hot water. Travellers should also bring their own bathroom supplies such as shampoo, toothpaste, etc. Handsoap and toilet rolls will be provided on request. It's a great option if you're planning a cost-effective but activity filled stay in Ella where you plan to spend most of your time outside but need a comfortable space to sleep. However, if you're looking to mostly relax and lounge on your trip a slightly higher budget option would be more suited to you.

A descent place to spent the night at Ella. The biggest plus point is the distance from Ella town. This place is very close to Ella town as well as to the Ella railway station. Therefore if you are to catch an early morning train, this is a good place to stay. The room was cosy and was well maintained. Beds were comfortable and had enough space for four people in one room. Beds could be arranged up to four people per room. Attached bathrooms could be found and hot water was available. Bathroom was of moderate quality and cleanliness. Few power outlets were available with an extension cord with US plugs. The room was not air conditioned but had standing fans. Adequate lighting was there. The house keeping lady was nice and gave us a warm welcome. Was friendly and cooperative throughout the stay. You can arrange meals as you wish from this place. Those are charged separately. Drinking water was available for free. Laundry service was available. Final thoughts... If you are a local, the price of this place may be a little bit high as the food was charged separately. You could find much cheaper lodgings with food if you can travel a little bit towards the village as these places are more aimed at foreign tourists and are priced accordingly. If you are a foreign tourist, this is a much better budget option compared to other places considering the quality of the place. Do not expect high quality rooms and bathroom facilities as this is more geared towards budget customers.
