        This hotel is magnificent. It comes at a very decent price range and offers a very authentic experience. The room was well sized (much more spacious than any other hotel we've used in Japan so far), and the hotel staff very attentive and helpful. We requested a food spot recommendation and were shortly recommended some lovely local place exactly as we had in mind / requested (homey and without an English menu 😁) that had availability for us that night. They were also very kind to sort out a taxi for us when we asked for help, going so far as to take us outside to the pickup place and reconfirm the destination with the driver. The breakfast experience was also amazingly authentic, with bento boxes being delivered each morning. We tried the whole range they had while we were there and while they're all amazing, we'd say that the beef one is best. Decently close to metro / train stations (very useful for the direct connection to Nara!) and the view of the temple pagoda from the hotel is amazing. We'll absolutely aim to stay here again when we return to Kyoto.

        Nice hotel in general and good staff always helpful and kind. The location : I'd say 4/5 because besides the Toji temple right in front of it ( very pretty!! ), it's a bit far from the rest... Free parking at the hotel ( 4 or 5 places ). Room clean and well equiped. We even had a washing machine, a plus for us! The breakfast was served in our room, good choice even for vegan. The wc was a bit too close from the sink in my opinion but okay for few days... Nice bathroom! Lot of pressure aswel. I missed coffee bags ( only tea in my room ) but it's a small detail... There is a little shop at 20 meters from here in case. Quite noisy because it's in front of a busy road. I was okay with it, my wife a bit more sensitive to noises was less pleased about that. Nice little restaurants around! Don't hesitate!

        Amazing little hotel one stop from Tokyo station. A bit of a walk to other areas of Kyoto, but right across from Toji temple. The front desk staff was amazing to work with and very welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious, and having a washer/dryer was extremely helpful. However there was a bit of a smell coming from it, however didn’t affect usage. The room did get chilly once night hit as the door didn’t fully seal like in a hotel. If you stayed in the room later in the day or early evening you can definitely hear noise, especially as the elections are going on- however did calm down once approximately 8 pm hit and then you could just hear the odd car. Overall would definitely stay again.

        Excellent location to Toji Temple. Rooms are spacious. With only 15 rooms on this property it feels very private. The grounds are beautifully kept. The most enjoyable part of staying at Sunrise Suites is their wonderful staff from the front desk staff to room cleaners to breakfast delivery person. Each one made us feel very welcome.

        We really enjoyed our 3-night stay at Sunrise Suites! The room is lovely 😍, nicely decorated, bed is comfy; the bathroom is very clean and spacious. The rooftop view towards the five-story pagoda ( from Tō-ji Temple) is amazing! The temple is right across the street 😊. The Kyoto station is nearby: 5 min walk. To reach the Gion area we took the bus 207 (the bus station was very close: 2-3 min walk). The breakfast was delicious ☺️. The staff from the Sunrise Suites was very professional, friendly and helpful 🙏. Can highly recommend this place 😊.

          Booking Policy
          It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.
