My husband and I were on a road trip to San Diego and other parts of California, we were checking prices and living conditions at various hotels when we discovered the Atwood hotel. I walked in and observed the cleanliness and the attentive spirit of the clerk (Victor), he was busy, yet took the time to quote a price and answer all the questions I had. It was reasonable, less than $100 nightly so we decided to try it out. We liked the Atwood a lot and ended up staying over 2 weeks altogether. The front desk clerks seemed the most accommodating, Belen, Victor and Francisco were always willing to help. THANK YOU!!!

The Atwood is a decent renovated motel that is a nice central location. The front desk service was good and attentive to our needs. House keeping respected our privacy and brought us fresh towels when we requested them. I will say that there are a few things that could be improved. The room is nice for the renovation that's been done. However the door to the room(s) could use a nice foam/rubber seal to keep the traffic noise out. And the room(s) need a luggage rack/table for a few small suitcases. Although this is a cozy motel the people/guests that come and go can be noisy. We managed to get past it by playing the TV / music. So if you're picky this may not be the place for you. Thank You Atwood for the weekend stay.

I checked in and proceeded to my room, only to find there were already people in it. I went back to the front desk, and they checked me into a different room. I didn't sleep well, wondering if they might check someone else into the room I was now in, and they would walk in as I slept. The room itself was OK, not great. This is clearly an old motel, which they try their best to maintain it, but it shows its flaws. Like taking 5 minutes to get hot water in the shower, or the bathroom sink that was so high it was almost unusable (I'm 6' tall). While the hotel is in a convenient location, the liquor store in the parking lot seemed to bring in quite a few sketchy characters that were milling about the parking lot. To top it all off, after my visit, I had unexpected and unexplained charges on my credit card. It took them quite a while to sort this out, and in the end weren't apologetic, only offering that it was due to a "glitch in the system". Even though they refunded me, because of currency conversion on my credit card, I still lost money.

I love that it is pet friendly and they accommodate guests with no extra pet fee if you book directly thru the hotel by calling. I stay here often as the rates are great and I can usually get a room. Hot tub and pool are great and theres a great restaurant on site. I've always loved the courteous staff and will continue staying here as often as possible. Rooms are clean and spacious. I prefer downstairs backside to avoid night noise. Only a few downsides that housekeeping doesn't always show up daily, freeway noise can get loud during rush hour and the ac and blow dryer doesn't work too well in some rooms. Some rooms have too much moisture or air fresheners that give me allergies but its still my favorite go to hotel on a budget in SD.

This is a 5-star 3-star hotel, if that makes sense. They need to stop with all the heavy scented cleaners in the lobby and rooms, but besides that it is a great place.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

In case of no show at the hotel, you'll be charged the entire booking amount.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
