A unique boutique hotel situated inside galle fort. The staff is very friendly and customer experience oriented. The breakfast needs to improve and one can only wish for dinner items and lunch items. Our only complaint is that the air conditioning needs to be more powerful. But even then, we stayed in, because of the comfort of this hotel. Very good vibes.

This place is a gem. It is in the heart of Galle, next to quaint streets, cool cafes and boutique stores. Rooms are spacious and the views are outstanding from the balcony. Service is just amazing! Highly recommend.

This is a small boutique hotel in Galle with just the perfect balcony room. Yes, it is expensive, they have European roomrates. But they also have a great service, lovely staf, a different style luxe breakfast and complementairy tea and cake served at your own balcony in the afternoon. The room was beautifull and the cinnamon smell was also really nice. We stayed newyears eve at this hotel, and then we recommend earplugs for the noise of the celebrating crowd. But from the hotel it was a short walk up to the clocktower to see the fireworks. The owners did a great job redoing this place and turning it into a really charming hotel. Eventhough the downstairs rooms are small and without any view. When we visit the rain spoiled a little bit of the fun, I can imagen that the hotel even looks better when you also can use the little terras viewing the ocean.

Interesting. Potentially outstanding hotel let down by questionable service, worn out rooms and high prices. All of Galle is expensive in comparison to the rest of SL however this place might find itself in no mans land, still charging high prices but not matching it up with maintenance or service. We arrived early so left our bags at reception while exploring and set a time with the team to return and check in. We returned at agreed time (past normal check in time) and the room was not yet ready but more concerningly, our bags were still left on the floor in full view of the street. You are asked the night before for your breakfast preferences and timeslot, so when we arrived in the morning to find there was no room for us, we were baffled - there were spare chairs but no tables - to say “sorry, we are busy” is funny, because we actually had to book and there aren’t that many rooms. The room had was Ok although we had to clean up ants and cockroaches; the wardrobes were both totally battered and not fit to store anything in; and lastly the street outside is very clearly audible through the windows however gladly Galle seems to quieten down by 23:00. I would stay here again but in its current state and pricing, not before scouring for alternatives.
