        We stayed here for one night only. Our room was clean, stylish and spacious. The hotel is in good location, and we enjoyed the bar downstairs. Didn’t get a chance to eat at the restaurant, but looks very classy and clean, with a fine dining appeal. I would give a higher rating, however we’re dissatisfied in the way the room was separated from the bathroom by a barn-style slider that left a large of gap between the door and the wall, a privacy and acoustics challenge. Barn doors belong in barns. Additionally I left behind a dress gifted by my aunt, and was very special to me. Unfortunately, I only realized it was left behind when we unpacked 12 hours later. Upon calling the hotel, they said nothing was turned in or found. Furthermore, my very first impression with their immediate answer implied that the people in Room 300 behind us had already been there, thus somehow using such excuse for not having the dress. I understand it was my fault it was left behind, but on the hotel website it states they hold items for 90 days! I don’t know if they talked to the housekeepers at all, or just looked in lost and found and brushed it off. I guess I just expected a little more courtesy and humanity, as well as a little more effort.

        Absent further details, this is a response to this hotel's response to another review where the hotel canceled his reservation in advance. They commented that it was canceled due to method of payment and use of an employee rate. Given such disrespectful language from this hotel, they would also note that the rate requires proper credit and valid rate form specifically *at check-in* but not before. It would be improper for the hotel to request either in advance, let alone cancel the reservation. Most Marriott franchises would assign BAR in its place should the form not be provided but allow the guest to present the form before check-out to get the reserved rate. This hotel also denies platinum, titanium, and ambassadors their welcome gift choice of breakfast in the restaurant.

        I am a Titanium Elite member at Marriot, closing in ambassador status. I specifically selected this facility for my stay as they advertised their restaurant as number one in Atlanta. I tried having breakfast there, they ran on a minimal crew, with one guy taking orders, doing seating and serving room customers also. Wait time to get seated on an empty restaurant, Attendent had to take room orders and we had to wait for him to return. Then with a very limited breakfast menu they did not have full items, especially latte. Then the hotel room washroom door was also not working properly it did not have stoppers as it was a barn door, got stuck multiple times. Location is also not ideal along with limited parking space. I reached out to the hotel, via email with my comments and they never bothered to respond back, so much for being a loyal Marriot customer. I hardly every leave comments but I decided to do it for this location. Very disappointing experience.

        The burgess hotel Nestled in charming Buckhead away from the hustle and bustle. A hidden gem that attracts a specific guest. Someone who appreciates art, travel , romance and a culinary experience. The aesthetic tells a story of the chef -owner and his wife’s journey , travel and love for family . The colors and textures are so chic and pleasant on the eyes . The staff Ben at guest services greeted me kindly as I arrived . He rushed to the restaurant to reserve a seat for me after knowing I was hungry and exhausted from my travel. If you want to know what southern hospitality feels like , Kayla at the bar will give you that warm at home feeling and treatment. Mark the bar manager, he remembers every guest’s name , has a remarkable attention to detail and makes you feel like a VIP guest. The GM , he takes pride in ensuring every guest is taken care of and comfortable in their stay. They call him the “ French man “. You will see him walking around with a beautiful scarf, greeting every guest throughout the night. Chef Burges , did an absolutely phenomenal job with the menu . I enjoyed everything from the wood fire . The meat is cooked to perfection! Also the flavors from some of the dishes on the menu reminded me of my travel . You will mostly like meet him And his lovely wife while dining . I hope you enjoy your stay !

        I am extremely narotic when it comes to cleanliness & sanitary, especially when I need a hotel. The Burgess is the best I have found. Donna, always polite and positive, Cyle, refreshingly diligent young man, Mark super nice guy and makes great drinks! They are all just awesome. They present well which seems to be a dying trait these days and Yannit sets the bar for his team. He is by far the best dressed and professional man I've ever dealt with. He appreciates feedback (as a firm believer & business owner, it helps a business grow). I have been there several times and will be for at least the next 4 years. He is an old school soul and treats people with respect and uses common sense. Ex:I am waiting for a response on a non urgent matter that was a miscommunication some may think is too long to wait, but I am a fair person and know he's busy, he won't forget.           It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.
          The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.
