This is a lovely place in a great location in Camps Bay. I noticed, though, that for the entire duration of my one week stay there, the security doors that were supposed to only be opened with the electronic key card, were always open. Never locked, never needing the key card to gain access. And a balcony door to the outside near my room which was also supposed to be secure access, was literally permanently open. Not even shut and easily opened. Just open. Room service happen to come on one of the days while I was still there. She didn't knock to verify if the room was vacant. I had chained the door from the inside. She burst in, destroying the chain in the process. There are options. Verify that security is actually secure, and not just a show.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at The Crystal Apartments, and while my overall experience had its ups and downs, I believe it is important to provide an honest review. Let's start with the positives. The landscape surrounding The Crystal Apartments is truly breathtaking. The picturesque views and serene environment create a tranquil ambiance, offering a much-needed escape from the bustling city. Additionally, the service provided by the staff was commendable. They were attentive, polite, and willing to assist with any requests or inquiries. The peaceful atmosphere within the premises was another notable aspect, ensuring a restful and undisturbed stay. However, there were a few shortcomings that affected my overall satisfaction. Firstly, the price of the apartments was quite high compared to similar accommodations in the area. While the landscape and service were remarkable, it did not fully justify the steep cost, leaving me somewhat disappointed in terms of value for money. Furthermore, there was an unpleasant odor that lingered within the rooms. It was noticeable upon entering and persisted throughout my stay, which detracted from the overall comfort and enjoyment of the space. Additionally, the room itself appeared quite dated. The furnishings and decor showed signs of wear and tear, indicating a need for renovation or refurbishment to match the expectations of modern travelers. Regrettably, the most concerning aspect of my stay was the unfortunate incident involving a cleaning staff member. I discovered that my mobile phone had gone missing, and after careful consideration, I suspected it had been stolen by the cleaning lady.

Stunning location. Great bedding Clean and quiet. Good daily cleaning services. Dryer didn't work. Laundry services weren't available. Almost zero customer service. A big NO for me. Strange messages that my cc didn't work. That's not true. Nobody ever answers the phone. Received unprofessional msgs such as "hmm, your cc doesn't work". Couldn't reach anyone by phone to sort out the problem. Took a day out of my vacation to sort out the problem. Then, I had to convince the person at checkout to give me a receipt. When I asked the person at the front desk why Nobody picked up, he said he was sick and literally told and showed me that he was lying on his arms the whole day?!!! Old, uncomfortable, sparse lounge furniture. Piece of floor tile missing.
