        If you’re thinking of staying here, DON’T. Hotel is nothing like the photos.. absolutely terrible. The receptionist refused to even show us the room before we paid, saying it’s not allowed. It was 8 pm, we were tired and my son was crying so we had to go with it for the night. Says it’s a 3 star hotel but it should be a 1 star hotel. Cockroach in the tub, very very old furniture, the floor in my room was moving with the footsteps of the person in the room next to ours. Walls super thin, bathroom door right on the toilet, so you can’t even use the bathroom unless you close the door all the way. Bed and pillows WERE THE WORST. Not comfortable at all and gave me a back and headache. Neighborhood was bad, not safe, super sketchy. Rate at hotel was 175$????? Lol 25$ would’ve been too much for this disgusting hotel.

        If you’re really looking for budget and don’t care about the bugs then definitely go right ahead. Booked this place last minute only because we had dogs and the fee wasn’t ridiculous and because a parking spot was included. Other than that, it was dirty. We killed about 3 or 4 small cockroaches in our room. This place is definitely a cheap motel just with a fresh coat of paint to make it look better.

        Stayed from 12/1/23 to 12/3/23, was supposed to check out the 4th but my stay was THAT bad. The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at and I have stayed at motels and hostels. First things first, the front desk personnel are extremely rude and have zero sense of customer service. They speak to you as if you’re annoying them by checking in or asking anything. The first night was very cold also so I went to the front desk for blankets. The very rude front desk lady said “don’t you already have blankets?” I said yes but we want another quilt since it’s cold. She responded with “the heater in the room doesn’t work? If you’re cold then the heater on.” I said yes there is a heater but we want blankets and told me they don’t give out extras and the blankets in the room are “enough”. About an hour later I called and asked for blankets again. The heater in the room is an extremely loud me janky heater that is basically screaming at you when it’s on. The front desk lady said we will be there in 5 minutes. 30+ min later I call again and she said she will check and bring blankets in 5 minutes. Over an hour later still nothing. I called again and another lady said they don’t have any extras and housekeeping is all out. A hotel that doesn’t have extra blankets???? (Not to mention the stains on the sheets and dirty decorative pillows already in the room!!!!!!!) On the first night there was a COCKROACH in the tub, prompting a friend of mine in another room who ALSO found a cockroach in her room to move to another hotel. Like an idiot I stayed at this one. There’s also no safe in the room, extra toilet paper, and the floors were filthy. The remote and tv did not work, the tv just turned on but no signals no matter how much I tried to get it to work. ALSO the biggest issue I had probably despite the cockroaches, was the ENTIRE TIME the toilet didn’t flush. Housekeeping was well aware and instead of fixing the issue or putting us in another room, THEY LEFT A PLUNGER IN THE BATHROOM SO WE CAN DEAL WITH IT. When my friend checked out she said others were in the lobby complaining about a lot similar things. I was supposed to check out the 4th and checked out at night of the 3rd very late, distressed and the man at front desk was rude, didn’t care about the complaints and said “I took note of everything and will tell management”. This man didn’t write anything down, and just snatched my room key. He kept saying they can’t do anything about the issues since management int around. He offered another room but another filthy room with cockroaches and plungers? No thanks. I haven’t begun the process to get my money back but I URGE anyone who is looking to stay in Hollywood to stay far AWAY from this hotel and look for hotels on sunset blvd or West Hollywood. This area is also sketchy as hell and not safe to walk around alone at night. The ONLY positive about the location is all the Thai food available but none of that was enough to compensate for the filth and how unsafe it was.

        Great budget place to stay! I was in town for two nights to go to a show at the Greek Theater, and it was an excellent location for that. Close to shops and restaurants on Vermont and Hillcrest, and they’re easily accessible by bus from a stop on the same block, if you want an option other than Uber/Lyft. It’s also right across from a Ralph’s grocery store and easy walking distance to the Target on Sunset. I didn’t have any issues with the area feeling unsafe, even as a woman traveling alone. The room itself was old and very basic, but also very clean. My only real complaint was the bed; the mattress was too firm for me and seemed very old, but I still slept soundly. The best feature was the pool area! I took full advantage, and would probably return to this hotel specifically because of that.

        This is a cute little motel right on Hollywood Boulevard, a little bit sandwiched between sketchy areas, but maybe that's just LA. We walked 20 minutes towards Griffith park, and it wasn't anywhere near as sketchy as walking in downtown Vancouver, and we felt fine with our kids. if we were going in the other direction, we probably would have taken transportation, because there are a couple long blocks. To get to the Greek Theatre was not at all expensive to Uber, so if you're seeing a show, this location is good. The pool is awesome. The beds are firm but comfortable, although the pillows suck. The cleanliness of the room is decent with a great layout and lots of storage. I love all the Hollywood touches, like the murals on the doors outside and the one in our room.
