I had the best host, Chelsea. She was very sweet and her communication was top. The apartment is spacious with everything we needed. However, the sea view is not very clesr from the inside but you can still hear the ocean roaring. One of my top stays😎

Overall, value for money was not too good and we would recommend a different place for a stay in Capetown / Camps Bay. Especially if you are on a remote work trip! We booked on short notice and were a little sceptiacal due to the existing reviews (but had no alternative really) - „unfortunatly" they reflect reality pretty well. To Understand the setting: The apartment is in a building complex with roughly 30 other apartments. Different agencies (ours was called „propr“) rent out the apartment to tourists. So some agencies might put a higher emphasise on guests than others and I can only speak with respect to the one we used. The comlpex is guarded all Day & night which is nice in terms of security. The apartment itself is in worse shape than shown on the pictures. It clearly has been used a lot and not much renovation has been done in recent years. The cleanliness upon arrival was OK but many „Hidden“ Corners were still very dusty. In a hotel we would have changed rooms and complained for sure. Moreover during our stay there was a rough smell comming out of the kitchen sink from time to time. Worst about the apartment was the wifi. The apartment complex has no generator (which is fine in terms of sutainability) but there isn’t even a battery attached to the router. So during Every power cut (they happen in Capetown 1-2x a Day for two Hours) the wifi was completly down. In todays times that should have at least been communicated beforehand!! The check-in process and communication with the landlord however was smooth. Note: we arrived in the middle of the day around 3:30 PM. If you arrive at night, we can imagine it being more stressful as there is no more staff on site since Covid and a real estate agent has to come to the property in order to hand over the keys. One exception for which I would give 5 starts: The staff on site (during the day) was really nice and very helpfull. Facility manager. Security Guards. Superb!

our spacious apartment was incredible, we didn't wanna leave. everything was so nice and wonderful. we spent a few hours at the pool, explored Capetown, went to the beach, became regulars @cafe caprice and we can highly recommend that place. the staff was very helpful and we felt safe all the time. some might be disappointed, free wi-fi is just available at the reception.

I’m currently staying here with my entire family as we booked the 3 bedroom apartment... and I’m having the worst ever experience... It’s freezing (9 degrees Celsius outside, probably colder inside) the air cons are not heating, and we requested that the empty gas canister be changed this morning so we could fire up the electric fire... We spoke with the staff at the Camps Bay Retreat last night and I was incredibly understanding, as they assured me they’d let Ashraf at reception know this morning and then we reiterated it to him ourselves this morning. Right now I’m definitely not at all understanding... No one seems able to assist and for such a beautiful place the service is absolutely unacceptable!
