Well what can I say, after reading some of these reviews, I am thinking it can't be the same place. The hotel looks fantastic, we loved it. The room was lovely and the copper bath was amazing. The staff were great and the evening meal in the restaurant was 10 out of 10, it was cooked to perfection!!! We stay in a lot of hotels and I must say, the full English breakfast was the best we've EVER had!!! Would I recommend this place? 100%.

Went for a wedding! All over great experience, really clean, tidy and visually pleasing location. Staff were more than happy to chat, really friendly and professional, would definitely re-visit again. Food was phenomenal, fine dining experience, standard 3 course meal and didn't have to leave the table as the staff were on hand all night with a smile on their face. Although drinks and food was pretty pricey, you pay for what you get in this kind of environment! Classy location for any luxury event or just to have a trip away.

Wasn't sure what to expect after seeing some not great reviews but I was blown away, the walk to reception with all the lit up trees was nice, the decor throughout is beautiful, the bar area and restaurant are stunning, food and drinks are fantastic, breakfast was amazing. I used the small gym for a run and throw some weights about which was nice. The rooms are clean and comfy and tastefully decorated. The bathrooms are brand new and the shower was epic! Incredible value for money and I'll happily stay again.

Met with friends for breakfast recently, service appalling, waiting 30 minutes and had to go find a member of staff, only 8 adults there in total for breakfast including us so not ran off their feet. Coffee cold, asked for more, cold again. Toast delivery 20 minutes before breakfast (which was just about ok) full English trying to look like a Heston creation 🙄 This is a beautiful hotel in a lovely location, someone needs to take the restaurant provision in hand and sort it out or it soon won't be there.

No star rating given, because. On arrival, the welcome was good and encouraging. However, on taking a seat in the bar, we were not approached for our requirements. One of our group of four went to reception to ask what the procedure was. She was told that someone would come to us. Several minutes later, this was the case, and our drinks order was taken, after some time the drinks were delivered to the table, at this point the member of staff was asked if food was available, she said yes and she would bring us a menu, this she did immediately. However, thirty minutes later, she had not returned for our order. As so much time had elapsed and two members of our group had long distances to travel, we could not risk attempting to place an order, so we were forced to leave without eating. This did not help what was already an emotional day. Despite a member of our group speaking to a duty manager, no real recompense was made. Other than, leave me your phone number, and I will get the manager to phone you. Yours, disappointed and disillusioned. Note that a one-star rating had to be made to get this posted. However, one star is an exaggeration.
