        Pleasant service and clean. Otherwise: we had a dark room, with frosted windows, only electricity allowed light, for me very claustrophobic; hard spring mattress and incredibly bland Japanese-style breakfast, like in a hospital (and I like Japanese food). We just had it once and paid but couldn't eat others. I saw photos from other rooms and breakfast here from a few years ago. but looked much better than ours. We should get s refund. I've been to a few Japanese hotels already and this one was the least pleasant.

        Lovely little hotel in a central location. It was generally very good. The breakfast was nice, and the staff were all very welcoming. My only real concern was the mattress - rather hard and tough on my back, but that's just my opinion. Overall this place gives you everything you need at a reasonable price. Oh, and there's loads of manga. Nice touch. Thank you!

        It is a shame to not allow the customers to have a tea right after their check out and after playing 130 euros for 1 night. They do not have the sense of client satisfaction. We are talking about 2 teas and please note that they have tea and coffee all day for self service. It is definitely a pity! The rooms are great but tiny, specially for 2 people. The hotel is clean and modern. However, after that episode I am not coming back for sure. I was very disappointed.

        Lovely little hotel in a central location. It was generally very good. The breakfast was nice, and the staff were all very welcoming. My only real concern was the mattress - rather hard and tough on my back, but that's just my opinion. Overall this place gives you everything you need at a reasonable price. Oh, and there's loads of manga. Nice touch. Thank you!

        The hotel is located within walking distance to Nijo Castle. It was around 25 minutes from Kyoto Station via bus line 9 or 50. The room was tight with very little space for 2 suitcases. The staff was very friendly and provided maps and tour suggestions. In the lobby, there was an espresso machine and coffee maker. Also offered water, which you can add apple cider vinegar. They offered many amenities free. I liked the body sponge. Very close was the Kyoto Sanjo Shopping St. where we found places to eat for lunch and dinner. Most of the shops closed early though. The negative staying here is you must travel to Kyoto Station to transfer to other transportation options. The buses are typically full of tourists during this time in March, making it hard to find a seat.

          It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.
