This machiya was perfect! The rooms were exceptionally clean and spacious. The whole hotel was very quiet despite being pretty full. The staff was also very friendly and helpful and helped us arrange luggage pick up. They have free laundry, a tea room and bike rentals, so it was perfect for travelers. The location is also centrally located to many restaurants and shopping. Would highly recommend!

This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way! The front desk spoke English very well and was able to help me with shipping luggage and restaurant recommendations. The decor and cleanliness is excellent - as a designer I was very impressed by the unified aesthetic based on traditional wood joints for buildings. They offer a 3 person room which is exactly what I needed, and the in-room washer/dryer was clutch. We looooved the shower and bath in our room! Give yourself time to enjoy and relax here. It's a short walk to the station or the bus stop, so you have easy access to anywhere in the city. I would absolutely stay here again!

Really nice stay at this hotel, as it's within walking distance to a lot of nice local restaurants (including a Michelin star ramen store), but far enough away from the crowds that you won't hear sirens blasting late at night like other places. Comfortable walking distance to the train lines, Nishiki market, as well as Gion district and Kiyomizu-dera. Rooms were a good size, and the bathroom was spacious. Always loved the coffee refills and water bottles they replenished every day. Service here was very warm, welcoming and they went out of their way to help you when you have questions or problems. They can also arrange taxi services (which was greatly appreciated given Kyoto public transport) and they help with luggage forwarding. My whole group enjoyed our stay here, so we will come again if we are in the Kyoto area.

Hotel is in a convenient location in central Kyoto not too far from Kyoto Station and Gojo Street. With a tea room to relax and laundry machines! Very location despite that all which was very nice. ナイス

Super location & great rooms. Staff were amazing and helped out on several occasions. Helped with organising luggage transfers and recommended great restaurants for us. Will definitely be coming back. A+

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.
