Not what is was expecting. The rooms have very dated decoration & furniture. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable though. The only thing truly bad about the experience was the breakfast. It's a grab and go breakfast with no tables to sit and eat, the food is terrible, old and dry, and the coffee was weak. Please don't get breakfast included, you'll be disappointed, and wasting money. The concierge service was really good, and location is excellent. They need to update the decor in the rooms and change that no good breakfast offerings. After that it'll be a 4 star hotel.
Cannot fault this hotel at all. It was my first time visiting New York and I'll admit, I was a bit apprehensive about the hotel after reading some of the negative reviews. Granted, the rooms were slightly dated, but I didn't come to NY to sit all day in a hotel room. Beds were comfy, rooms were cleaned daily and had everything we needed for a pleasant 4 night stay. Staff very friendly and location was excellent. Would definitely stay here again. If you are expecting a 5 star hotel, then go pay a 5 star price for one!
This was the morning of my wedding ceremony and I was woken up at 9am by housekeeping, she was checking to see if someone was still in the room, I told her check out isn't until 12pm. Another hour passes by and a guy comes knocking , I told him the same. She came back again around 11 and just sat by my door until 12pm. The make me very uncomfortable. Overall I found that to be very distasteful and annoying. Room experience I did not like that it was a small and old looking room. No amenities, price line picked my room. I knew it was too good to be true for that price. The heater didn't work in the morning and there wasn't any hot water to take a shower or wash my face. I brushed my teeth in freezing cold water. I left very distraught, this was the worst way to start a day that's supposed to be one of the happiest days of my life.
