        The hotel is beautiful, and transport from airport is very good, they have their own minibuses both ends. The boat trip is on one of the large public boats, but our host, sorted out the 4 different permits/offices that you have to go to, to get across 😀. The pathway to the hotel off the main road is NOT very good, it's certainly not what my mother in law expected. There's drainage water in the middle of it. Also it's too narrow for cars so you have to man handle your luggage and its about 100-150 m to the hotel. Hotel is nice, balconies face each other and overlook one of the 2 pools. Pools are small but inside the building and open to fresh air. They're great for kids, and families. Beach is about 1 minutes away (if your Usain Bolt) but for walking it's about 2/3 as a gentle stroll. You can get beach towels from reception to take, you have to hand in a chit which you get on the way back. There's a bar in the hotel as well as restaurant. Which serves a sit down breakfast, choices are local, English, American, French and Spanish....but apart from the fillipino style all the others are a local take on what they are supposed to represent 🙂 but my English was nice.

        Room without exterior windows, stained, dirty sheets. On the first evening, we requested to change our linen because it was stained and dirty, after 40 minutes they came with a row of bed linen that was also stained, I showed the guy that this linen was also stained, he left and came with another row that was also stained in several places. Although the linen was washed, it was stained and yellow. I went down to the reception to request a room change, but they said they didn't have another room. I explained to the girl that the underwear is stained and they told me that they have no solution for me because they don't have any other underwear. In the bathroom, the towel holder is broken. The dark room having no window, in the presentation pictures it is not written anywhere that you have no window. It is the worst accommodation I have stayed in.

        We experienced few hiccups from checking-in and out from the hotel. We requested upon booking for two seperate beds but they gave one bed only. And upon checkout they hold us because they haven't checked the room even though we checkout fifteen minutes earlier. But overall the place is good they just have to improve on communication with the staff.

        Room condition could improve, it is aged with time and usage. Air-con works well and effective but ceiling looks kinda moldy in the air-con/bed area, but doesn't really bother us after 18 hours here; and not all room suffer to this :-) Staff are friendly and helpful, and location is near to d'Mall with many shops and food options. The small narrowed "street" that The Piccolo Hotel is located on, is not pleasant by the look, smell and quality of any means. But it's only 50m or so, so carrying trolleys, stroller og bags can for most people be managed. Breakfast prime-time should be avoided if you have a busy schedule, as the waiters that clear tables and and orders, are very busy. But after 15 minutes we got served our basic Filipino and American breakfast plates, which was as it can be expected 😊

        This is not a hotel, it is a homeless shelter! Room is very dirty, full of small black flies and ants everywhere. Nothing works in the bathroom, water overflow everywhere. Air-conditioner right bext to your bed and extremely loud, you cant sleep with 90dB loud air-conditioner! Beaware of excess charges the hotel will try everything to impose. Entire Boracay is full if scams. Its a long walk in the dark alley, it is not a paved road, female guests must exercise extreme caution! It's impossible to get your baggages to the hotel!
