I have been here twice now. Once in the main building and the other in the fairway house. My knock was the check in and check out. On checking in I was not told that there was free coffee in the hotel in the morning. The latte was fantastic and Luz was just awesome. Loved her smile and fantastic attitude on. Christmas morning. I had one issue with the room and that was the fire pit. I thought they all came on automatically. I was not told after calling twice to the front desk that it is on the side. Hard to see in the dark. Now I know and you know too. They should have said but both times they said they would come on automatically. The hold time when calling the front desk is way too long for an in house call. If it were an emergency seconds matter. They need to fix that. Over all great grounds rooms good but thin walls. Yes that alarm going off at 3 was fantastic. Room service food was great but expensive. Waffles arrived cold. Oh well. I will go back just with Marriott status levels mattered more.

We had a fantastic recent stay at the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay to celebrate our 25th anniversary and bring in the New Year. The staff were all super friendly and laid back. The room was gorgeous, the view incredible, and the food was so good we can't wait to go back. We ate a nice meal on the patio with the spectacular view and fire pits. Our server congratulated us and comped us a very nice bottle of champagne. We were so pleased with our stay and hope to be back soon! Thanks to the whole crew at this property for making it so special and unforgettable!

Super luxurious hotel stay and as a titanium member, we booked the guest houses and was upgraded to the main building with a room as an end-unit. We were only staying for one night and they extended the late checkout time to 12pm during check-in the night before at 8pm and then they further extended the checkout to 2pm in the morning. The rooms had a great view of the golf course, Christmas tree and outdoor restaurant below. Very private with nothing between the window and the coastline. The fitness center is well equipped and included fresh fruit and fruit infused water. Also had access to the facilities for the entire day of check-out without any issues. The resort fee is very high but the best part is the 3 hour bike rentals which you can reserve online for free. Made very good use of this benefit to bike around the trail along the ocean with high quality bikes for off-road use with helmets and locks.

After living in California for eight years, I came to this place for the first time, and it's simply breathtaking, like a fairyland! Walking along the path next to the golf course, admiring the magnificent coastal scenery, my heart became so peaceful. It's about an hour away from the city, by the seaside, and it's definitely a great place for a holiday, if you need a gateway, come to visit it, you will love it.

At this price point, the hotel should have much better acoustics: you shouldn't have to hear every guest or staff member talking in the hallway or the room next to you. Also, not only us but a guest checking in at the same time were unable to get the room types we had confirmed previously. Otherwise, it's a graceful property catering to old school corporate meetings with nice ocean views, limited and extremely noisy and crowded dining areas and slightly bare bones rooms without the size or amenities you'd associate with this price point. Room electrical outlets are dated - standard iPhone chargers slipped out of three different outlets I tried. The fourth one had intermittent power and caused a light to flicker. Cleaning is iffy as you can see from the attached photo of a bed.
