We had a delightful experience staying at The Rock during our visit to Nuwara Eliya. The hotel's ambiance, reminiscent of an old bungalow, added a unique charm to our stay. The host's hospitality was exceptional, making us feel right at home. The delicious food served exceeded our expectations, and the room service was prompt and efficient. The reasonable pricing for such a clean and well-maintained hotel made it a worthy opportunity for us. Highly recommended for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Nuwara Eliya!❤️

The only thing that was really good here is the service - very friendly receptionist, staff - also very accomodating. We really appreciated the early check in and in-room breakfast option. The rooms were so-so - when booking, consider that most of the furniture is old although in good condition. The bedding had some stains. The bathroom was functional but again - pretty old furnished. The hair dryer stopped working after one use. Breakfast was nice - really liked the roti. Overall - it is a decent hotel for its price.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Our overall stay was good but I feel overpriced considering the lack of views and slightly shabby appearance. Still, we had a nice stay as a family, playing card games in the lobby lounge. The lunch was excellent but not so great in the evening... Apparently the chef was off sick.
