        I took my family for a high tea experience at the Tea room within the Table Bay hotel. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and is connected to the V & A waterfront with easy access. At the Tea Room, the staff made us wait for 30 minutes before we were seated. There were 3 empty tables seating 4, but the staff said they have to clean the tables so we have to wait to be seated which is fair, but 30 minutes is a bit ridiculous to remove used cutlery, and wipe down a table. I had to check in with the staff every 10 minutes asking if we could be seated as I saw people at tables leave, but the answer was please wait. Once seated, we ordered our teas and the teas arrived Luke warm. At this point we were so disappointed with the slow service, we didn’t complain, paid the bill and left. While having our tea, 2 dining guests from 2 different tables approached staff asking for food and drinks and that did not arrive. The guests complained saying they ordered 20+ minutes ago. The table bay hotel is beautiful, but the service within the tea room is unfortunately not great. For the price of R450 for a high tea experience you are better off going to the Mount Nelson for better overall service.

        Rooms are very comfortable but old and need to be refurbished. The views are insanely amazing. The staff and service in on point. It was our 2nd stay and the hospitality staff remembered us. The turn down staff proactively offered a cot for my 2 year old which was lovely.

        This hotel is perfectly situated, we had easy access to the V and A Waterfront mall and Harbour. We were initially allocated a room on the first floor but we weren't happy with the view, so we made a request to change the room. We have to make special mention of Ashley who assisted us throughout our stay. He's simply amazing. A true legend and we wish him every success in his career. The view from our new room was simply breathtaking - overlooking the ocean as well as the V and A. It was too beautiful, it made our stay even more worthwhile. One thing which was concerning was the inconsistency with the way housekeeping cleaned the rooms. With two toddlers, it was very difficult to keep the room spotless - as in make sure there's no toys or anything laying around.

        What a disappointment this turned out to be! We had family visiting from Durban and really wanted to spoil and impress them with a "Luxury High Tea" experience at this once fabulous Cape Town hotel! We seated ourselves, as there was no one around to seat us or welcome us, we then sat for a good 10-15 minutes before any staff bothered to acknowledge us. We ordered our teas and coffees and plated one or two tiny, very average cupcakes each. There was no "savory" selection laid out at all, and only when we asked about savories, was a small, rather disappointing assortment presented on a cake stack at the table preciselyworked out to 3 tiny nibbles each. By this time - 50 minutes in - we had STILL not been served our teas and coffees, and when I asked where they were, I was told, (with real ATTITUDE!) that she was busy at another table and would get to us "soon enough" !! Well, "soon enough" did not arrive, and eventually, all 5 of us stood, left our uneaten cakes on the table, had a word with the manager, and left without paying the bill!! At a charge of R450 per head , we expected some decent 5 star delicacies, some tasty High Tea sandwiches, and some great, South African hospitality. We got NONE OF IT and I do not recommend anyone going here for High Tea, or any other meal for that matter. We were very disappointed and embarrassed and we certainly won't ever go back! Rather, try Mount Nelson or The Silo if it's High Tea you're looking for.

          Booking Policy
          It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.
          The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

          Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.
          The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.
          Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.
