Staff are great! We had to unload our whole car and the valets helped with everything. The bellhop was very friendly. Although parts of the hotel are under construction, it is still very luxurious. Feels very safe with security visible in hotel and parking garage. Also were great with our dog staying. Offered her a Westin heavenly dog bed. Could not recommend more!

Airport hotels are a mixed bag. Westin Hotels can be a mixed bag. But this hotel was just what we wanted for a one-night stay before a next-day flight out of LAX. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The “park and fly” option was very convenient and the airport shuttle was readily available. The mild but pleasant surprise was an excellent dinner in the hotel dining room! All of the staff members were very welcoming. The only minor caution: don’t try to look out the room window because it looked like the outside hadn’t been washed since the 1984 Olympics.😉

The Westin LAX is in a great location and is an excellent meeting place for large and small conferences and conventions. Sometimes it the little things that make a place stand out. At the Westin LAX it was the parking garage staff for me. They were very welcoming and helpful assuring that I was in the right place while making suggestions that made my visit even more beneficial. It was the clean restrooms and the water temperature for hand and face washing that was perfectly set for an optimal experience. And it was the ambiance that gave the feel that you were some place special.

As much as I like staying at the this Hotel, there is a lot that they can do to improve their service. For instance, amenities in the rooms differs from week to week. The first week, I had a makeup mirror, on my return there wasn’t a mirror. Despite informing the front desk, there was no attempt to provide one. Second, your bar and its service? On my departure, ,the bar was busy and despite asking the Supervisor/ Manger Hispanic lady if anyone was taking orders from the outside table, she said NO! Although at that time she was delivering food to guests sitting at the bar. My experience with Marriott/ Westin is that staff/Managers are encouraged to go above and beyond! In her case she didn’t even have the insight to ask another staff member to assist. Very disappointed! On my next visit, I’m now choosing to stay elsewhere! Your staff needs to understand that every guest, irrespective of who they are must be treated the same.

Overall, a great stay at a hotel close to the airport. You can get to LAX very quickly for an early flight. The hotel is large and the rooms are spacious. Good quality for the price. Parking is expensive, so be prepared for that. Also, there is not great lighting in the rooms. The brightest light in the room was in the bathroom and the living area only had one small wall light. Otherwise, I would highly recommend.
