I recently stayed at this hotel for two nights and was completely bummed by my experience. First of all, which is not hotels fault, but location was horrible. You'd think that a 5 star hotel would have more desirable surroundings. Second, there was construction right in front which made it staying in the room during the day impossible due to the noise. Sleeping at night was hard because of the noise from the streets around. When I checked in, there was no running water in the room. Soap/shampoo dispensers didn't work. And the biggest disappointment was the fact that they close their rooftop pool for the winter. Which I wasn't aware of. And the pool was the reason I picked this hotel from many many other options. All the above might seem like little things but when you pay over $400/night, it's quite ridiculous. I'm very disappointed.

Last minute trip to Madrid due to train strike in Germany. Had no idea what to expect from Madrid or the Thompson Hotel upon landing at Madrid airport. Check in was fast, friendly and information about surrounding area was a huge help acquainting us the the city. We received a lovely welcome note and gift of a bottle of water and a plate of exotic fruits. We enjoyed breakfast each day at the Omar. It was truly a treat and we loved it! The restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner and was quite busy. The restaurant is also a full bakery with so many delectable pastries including the most delicious croissant's. The hotel fitness center was clean and well equipped with new machines, you couldn’t ask for a better view while working out. The hotel is directly in the center of Madrid walkable to everything but never felt load or overwhelming. Looking forward to staying at another Thompson property again soon.

The Thompson was a wonderful stay. We were greeted with a welcome drink and pastry from the hotel restaurant and it was delicious. The room is beautiful. The bed and pillows are very very comfortable. The bathroom/shower area are a great size. The location of the hotel is right in the heart of the city! It is a short 3-4 minute walk from anything you could want! The concierge and front desk staff (Sandra, Ventura, Veronica, etc.) are all so wonderful and helpful. We asked for their help in booking several excursions, dinners, and outings and they were nothing short of amazing! So helpful and kind. Overall I would rate our stay at The Thompson a 10/10. Definitely recommend and will be staying here again when back in Madrid!

Had a great experience at the Thompson. Greeted with a friendly face and was given a welcome drink and pastry (from the Omar - it was incredible. Highly recommend.). The room was comfortable, it had a great, spacious shower, and was well decorated. Staff was very nice! I needed time to recover upon check-in after after a rough night of travel to Spain and needed to push back a dinner reservation I'd made, and one of the front desk employees was kind enough to make a phone call for me. There's construction going on outside, and while it didn't make for the best view, that wasn't incredibly important to me, and it also wasn't ever disruptive at the time of my stay. Would definitely stay again!

Great Hotel and Staff! I had an amazing experience at the gym with Peter, the trainer. What a lovely hospitable person, he helped me through the workout , gave me new exercises I could use and was most kind throughout my training. I will definitely go back. Thank you Peter 😃

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

For any special requests, please write in the designated section while booking on the Adani One platform. We will forward these requests to the hotel; however, please note that the hotel may or may not be able to accommodate them depending on availability at the time of check-in. The hotel reserves the right of admission. The hotel may refuse to honour the booking if it determines that the property policies have been violated.

If the hotel is unable to confirm or deny the booking, Adani One is not under any obligation to provide an alternate booking in lieu of the unconfirmed booking.

Adani One does not collect GSTIN details on behalf of the hotelier, you may request this information directly from the hotelier during the check-in process.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

In case of no show at the hotel, you'll be charged the entire booking amount.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
