        Hotel name might sound chic but hotel building is rather old, can tell from its basement car park, surely seen its hey day. Rooms are spacious but furniture is not maintained, dusty, shower screen has discolored, lobby walkway ventilation is poor and smells. Price is reasonable given it's space but lots of things can be improved in order to stay competitive in this business in Penang island.

        Room was kinda clean, bathroom has a weird smell for some reason. The only thing i was super annoyed was i hang "Do not disturb" notice on my door and i went out to have breakfast i then came back seeing my room was clean? meaning someone came in. I purposely put do not disturb because i have all tech gadgets charging

        In terms of room, I'd like to say "Two Thumbs Up" compared with the same level hotel In terms of Location, I think it's quite near to Adventist Hospital & Gurney Plaza so it's quite strategic The problem is at the services given... They dun have bellboy plus no sliding elevator...Not suitable for shopping a lot... But for concierge before and after check-in is available as long as u lift it by youself. What I really disappointed after staying for 4 times is the commitment for the room. Let me describe. 1st time I get very gud ambiance and around 7floor above. The 2nd time due to different type of room, king size & 2 single bed even the prices are higher, I was forced to move even one night only. But the 4th after book, my agent make sure that we stay on what date, what time and book according to the type. Finally I get level 1 with no view at all... Sometimes I kept flashback, I've record there and not 1st time I stay, I dun ask for extra indulgence, I just ask for my type I order with higher level, not on the H day but previously, why they don't serve acc to my right... Very2 disappointed While it's not my type, I was forced While it's my right, the excuse is it has been full Hopefully management can review this seriously. Otherwise, long term priveleges you offered seem futile...

        Hello Owner, my name is Angela. Right now I'm staying at your suite for 1.5months already. Last Nov 2022, i stayed for 4 months and dsince then every month i would come to Penang and stayed at Tropic 8 for 3-7days. Tropic 8 is completely good in every aspect. Room, cleanliness, friendly staffs and facilities. Even my parent do not want to move another place even it is beside the hospital. I also introduced Tropic 8 to all my relative who come to do medical trip. Unfortunately, Tropic 8 has one shortage which is wheel-chaired facilities. My father is using wheelchair. When he is in strong condition, he can walk the staircas in front of lobby. But if he was weak, he cant go down the stairs, need to go to B1 and let the grab to come down. This was the problem. 3 from 5 driver will complain to go down the basement even i will give them RM5 tipping at the end of the trip (the fare only RM7-8). There was some condition where i need to argue with the driver and cancel the trip and also there was a driver who was mocking my father condition (he told me not to bring my father anywhere unless hospital) and yelling at me for telling him going down to B1. Once I saw two people carry the wheelchair going through the staircase. I can’t imagine how heavy it was. Please do consider making a lift for wheelchair (like in front of Gurney Plaza - next to Coach) or if you want more economic, you can renovate a little bit and make incline or uphill way to the lobby. Most of your guest is going for medical reason and many of them also bring wheelchair. Im sorry if i insulting you in any way. I hope you read my review because I’m not frequently writing for a review like this. Thank you 🙏🏻

        Comfort & spacious studio room. It would be nice if they provide bathtub in every room Laundry & gym room at 7th floor. Affordable price. Limited private parking space. I had stayed for 4 days but the FO never provided me the car park card with the same excuse "Full House" As the result I have to pay public street parking everyday, So I am lil bit dissapointed.

          Booking Policy
          It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.
          The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

          Modification and Reschedule Policy
