        Stayed here for 3 nights for a work trip rooms were comfy enough staff are quite friendly Downside was breakfast on first morning there was a coach party staying in the hotel which clearly the breakfast wasn’t enough as all the food ran out and and had to queue for 10 mins to use the coffee machine. My room was on the first floor my first impression when I got in the lift was the terrible smell it smelt like rotten food which got worst on the 1st floor corridor it got to the point where you’d have to hold your breathe luckily the room didn’t smell

        Good points... The staff were amazing here, they couldn't do enough for you! I lost my wallet at the local Aldi and they even went out to ask about it with staff there after I asked. Very nice and friendly too and available at all hours so a pat on the back for them guys. Free parking too which was very handy coming from out last hotel in Ghent we paid 18EURO per night... The train station is only a few minutes walk away, I probably wouldn't bother trying to walk into town as its just too far. We used the E scooters (You will find a few dotted about in the housing estate opposite) Bad points... The room on first inspection smelt of stale smoke, we had cob webs above the window, bits of hair on the bathroom walls, the grout in the bathroom looked like it needed a right good scrub! Strangely too we had just one cup for brewing up in a twin room. When we visited the weather was a little hot at night and we didn't notice any AC at all in the room unless we missed it? As others have said if you open the window the motorway outside is VERY loud! And it never seems to calm down. I wasn't expecting the Ritz at the price point we paid but cleanliness doesn't take much. This place could be so much better with a little work, working AC is a big one and a little cleaner in places.

        okay hotel, but in the middle of no where. i was here for business. the room was small, the beds weren't the best, the shower was new & nice, bfast was very good, but dinner was a bit hit or miss. a few nights i was told there's a large party and the kitchen was only open for them. what? im staying at your hotel and there's nothing around here. i ended up ordering uber eats. the bar is nice with some good belgium beers.

        Lovely clean room, very helpful staff. Very comfortable bed. The only fault I found is the communal area. All the stairs and hallways are dirty. It doesn't give a great 1st impression

        I'm a stage manager who travels across UK & Europe often and I get to stay in lots of hotels frequently for work. My visit to Tulip Inn Antwerpen was during Sfinks festival. **ROOMS** The pillows are really uncomfortable and aren't even proper bed pillows, but small and square like the kind of cushions you would put on a chair or sofa. If you are staying in a twin room prepare to feel cramped. There isn't enough realistic space for 2 people to have two large suitcases and all their stuff in one room. There needs to be double the amount of hanging hooks or at least maybe some shelves or overhead storage. The beds have wheels on them which makes the beds move alot even with the slightest shuffle, there were many times I woke up with my bed next to the person I was sharing a room with. Also I totally understand that it states on their website that there is no air conditioning but something needs to be done about that. If you open the windows to stay cool its difficult to sleep if you are a light sleeper because of the outside noise. But then if you keep the window shut it gets super stuffy and congested. I didn't have one night of good full sleep the whole time I stayed, **SERVICE** My roommate had a dress stolen from her, we checked both our suitcases and under the beds, and double checked everywhere where could it be but it was clear the dress had been stolen. When we told reception we were told he would look into it but we never heard back and no compensation offered regarding the dress. We also spent our whole 5 day booking with a blocked sink, we asked both the cleaners and reception a total of 3 times to have the sink unblocked but every time we came back it looked like someone had started but not finished. When we arrived it took ages for reception to figure out which room our producer was in, when we first arrived. I understand that we were a big group but at first she gave our Producer the wrong key card, where she ended up walking into an already occupied room with people in it. **BREAKFAST** If you can afford it, eat out because the breakfast here was so uninspiring and bland. As a vegetarian there was only the choice of scrambled eggs or hard boiled eggs as a hot food choice, and they either always ran out, or when you asked for them to be topped up it felt like you were being a hassle. One time I asked if anymore scrambled eggs were coming out and the staff member said "Well there's boiled eggs there, can't you just eat them?!" to which I replied "I'm afraid I don't like boiled eggs!" and then she huffed and puffed and said "well it will take 7 minutes" her body language made me feel uncomfortable and awkward so I told her not to worry about it, but eventually they were brought out. What's even worse was even when they were available the scrambled eggs were the worst I have ever tasted in my years of working abroad, they were either undercooked and runny, or just a weird texture overall. But with limited food choices I had to make do. They only have dairy milk out on display so every morning I had to ask for soya at the bar which I feel is very behind the times in comparison to other hotels I have stayed in. **OTHER POINTS** The bar shuts really early and once shut you can't access the dining area so there are no places to socialise apart from the reception area which has very limited places to sit or outside the front. I would only stay here again if it was the last resort and only hotel available during the time I needed it. Otherwise I would avoid staying here again.
