        Arrival was a terrible experience. Even though the listing showed a reception from two till 6 pm, there was no one at the property to meet us. Had to call them requiring activating international roaming, which may be a real pain for some travellers and then deal with the check-in over the phone. Was asked to send passport documentation via WhatsApp or text message which didn’t feel safe to me. Had cold showers every day, and even though we advise the staff that there was almost no hot water in the shower, we were told this is just what the property is. The issues on arrival could’ve been sorted out with an email in advance advising of the instructions to enter and saved a very hot and bothered situation. The room itself was fine, and the staff attending for housekeeping were lovely, and the proximity to the colosseum was also convenient.

        Okay so I totally failed to take pictures. Sorry The hotel is located near the Colosseum and has a great cafe shop downstairs on the corner. There’s also a convenient grocery store walking distance not far from the hotel. Hotel meets your basic needs. It has a comfortable bed, TV and the water pressure in the shower is good. There’s also a small elevator. While they don’t have anyone onsite to help with check in they do answer the phone and respond to WhatsApp messages quickly.

        The hotel is closed to the Coliseum and other tourist attractions, but if you are arriving early, you will have to wait outside with your luggage until someone will arrive to open the door of the hotel. We waited by the small cafeteria around the corner for almost three hours before someone showed up. Then, they kept our luggage until the room was ready in the afternoon. Once the front desk personnel leave for the day, the hotel is locked and only guests can come in and out with their keys. If you lose your key or arrive outside the front desk hours, you will have to stay out until the next day. Rooms were OK, and there was no real service provided by the hotel. I would not recommend.

          It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.
