We will put the things we liked at the top, as it's only respectful to show we did enjoy a little bit of our time here. Small selection for breakfast, no issues there a light breakfast is just fine with us. While no mini bars are in the room, the vending machines make a very strong black coffee. ( Better than what is downstairs.) The rooms were clean and the beds were nice. The air conditioner had issues on our second night. It wouldn't stay on, we propped the door open to the terrace to keep a breeze going. Now onto the main issues and why we only have 1 star: Something kept slamming near us. All throughout the night at random times the bang could be heard. Music could also be heard and loud chatter of other guests. Did we mention a wedding was going on? We weren't told a wedding was going on by the front desk! One would think that telling other guest that a wedding is going on and where it would be on the grounds; it would allow everyone to be polite and not walk through the ceremony area. "Only the pool is closed" or no answer at all in the middle of the day was all we were told. The front desk was very rude overall; very snippy and posh. They acted as if you were bothering them when you needed to check in/out or ask them something. Even with semi-fluent Italian, very stand offish if you are not fully fluent and from the area. We had dinner as a group as well, and guests that were outside of our group that needed a menu. We asked, we asked in italian, our guide asked, and yet no additional menu was provided. We had to take a picture of what was offered up front to even get an order in. The food and wine were all okay, nothing to rave and praise over - but the braised beef was very good-. At breakfast, one morning an additional group/ leftover wedding guest were in the area. It seems that there was even less food out- even for getting there when breakfast opened-. There are two coffee machines, that work quiet well for powdered items. While sitting in the overflow room, we noted that the staff brought a couple were espresso by the staff from behind the bar, however, we were not offered and nor was anyone else in the English speaking groups. Overall Review: Rooms are comfortable to get rest, the food is okay depending on the dish, and the staff could stand to smile more.

What a nice hotel! It just happens to be off, unbeaten path in Matera. There’s not a lot around the hotel in the way of shops or restaurants. But the hotel itself offers at one stop shop with the restaurant. We have a wonderful Italian pasta dinner downstairs with our tour group. An enjoyed an amazing breakfast before we departed for Naples, Italy.

Beautiful hotel. However, the front desk staff is rude. The spa staff is rude. The restaurant staff is rude. Not helpful, not welcoming. Well, to those who spoke fluent Italian yes to us who spoke very little but tried rude. One of the guests was told she couldn't use the pool because the sun was out. No lie. It's not a nice place at all.

Worst massage ever!! Me and my friend are visiting other friends that live in Matera so we thought we will come to MH just to use the pool for the day. When we arrived they had space for massages and we went to Aquatico the day before for massages - the woman at the desk said this one was way better. I booked for half an hour neck and shoulders and the masseur did full body so didn’t do my neck at all and spent a lot of time on my feet.. when I complained I wasn’t offered a refund or anything. When I met with my friend who booked a sports massage he also had a terrible massage too. Very disappointing and a waste of money. Do not recommend.

The building, etc, is great. Unfortunately customer service is atrocious, especially the harridan at the reception desk. The dinner meal at the restaurant was pitiful. The main course was 2 thin slices of roast beef (less than 1 ounce total) accompanied by a tiny twisted blob of mashed potatoes, hidden under a salad leaf.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.
