The staff, Ms. Li Min, was friendly and warm. She proactively shared extra perks I can get by being a Hyatt member - the best being the immediate room upgrade! The room was spacious, extremely clean, had international sockets for the travellers, and has good WiFi connection. The breakfast restaurant has decent spread with tasty food from the local fare to some western ones The hotel also had a laundry room that was free of charge for both washing and drying. This is a very welcomed facility, and a pleasant surprise, for me as I had some spills on my packed clothes when I arrived. This is also a small but functional gym on the 3rd level. Oh, and a swimming pool! Location wise, the hotel is a stone throw away from public commute stations (I was told), but most people walk or take a hired car here.

I stayed here for almost two weeks on a business trip to Shanghai. It is worth noting that Urcove is a very local hotel chain, part of the Hyatt portfolio of hotels, and none of the receptionists or hotel staff could speak English. However, the staff were very friendly and communication was a non-issue once we started using translation apps. The rooms are clean and overall great for a longer term stay. I especially appreciated the Nespresso capsule coffee, plush bathrobe and slippers, and the self-serve laundry washer and dryer on the 3rd floor. It made my life so much easier to be able to do laundry right within the hotel! Overall, I would recommend staying here if you are on a business trip in Shanghai.

Pretty great experience! Don’t expect any sort of Hyatt recognition or any type of service, but the rooms are comfy and the location is great, just a few steps from the metro. Breakfast was also dank.
