        Beautiful hotel with lovely front desk staff and beautiful view, we were greeted with lovely patisserie and complementary drinks which was lovely and thoughtful, the staff are always there to help and they are professional and nice. however ,We asked the hotel concierge to book a venue for us prior to our arrival for my birthday but the booking was not for a birthday although the email received said it was, we were given a very far table from the live music which was not very convenient for such an important event. the hotel has 2 restaurants but i only tried, its a tapas concept which is not everyone’s favourite and it certainly need more varieties and tasty Italian food, we had to go out to eat every time ( the closest place to eat is about 10/15 minutes walk). Other than that it was lovely stay and we enjoyed it. This certainly wouldn’t deter me from given this beautiful hotel a well deserved 5* and thank them for the lovely stay. I just wish that my little remarks would be taken into account for the future.

        Located on the hill, not far away from the Vatican, the hotel is clean, with friendly staff. The facilities are great. I recommend the bar, the service was kind and the drinks very nice as well. For a short stay in Rome it can be a perfect spot. I recommend it.

        Firstly I’d like to add that the staff here are excellent, very helpful and most importantly friendly. They deserve 5*. However, as per other reviews below, this is not a 5 star hotel. I had pre-booked a Supreme room with a view. On arrival, we were shown to a room on the 6th floor. Inside the room was some sparkling wine and a cake, which were nice gestures. However, we were immediately disappointed with the room itself. It was very tired, dark, and very small. The bathroom had no where to hang a wet towel, and the curtains were awful. Most importantly, there was no view, despite paying extra for one! We weren’t very happy so left the hotel to find dinner elsewhere and did not drink our wine or cake. I voiced my concerns to a very friendly lady on reception who stated they couldn’t do anything about it that evening, but to discuss it with them in the morning. That morning, I discussed with a different member of staff who showed us another room on the third floor. This room was somewhat nicer, and did offer a slightly better view. However, it was still rather tired and again had an awful bathroom with no where to dry towels. The excellent porter staff moved our luggage to the new room but our bottle of sparkling wine never showed up. We stayed for 4 nights and on two days the room wasn’t cleaned so I had to chase this. The hotel is also located on a very busy interchange and there are constant police sirens. Further, the pool is not heated (mid September) and is also very tired. Some of the floor were broken. tiles When we stayed the jacuzzi jets weren’t working and the jacuzzi was cold. Ultimately this is a 4 star hotel at best, and urgently requires an update. We’ve left very disappointed and feel the hotel website is very misleading. There are far better alternatives to stay in Rome.

        Is hard to believe that this hotel is part of The Leading Hotels of the World. Let me elaborate: We stayed for 4 nights in a junior suite during August 2023. The bar and the fancy restaurant were closed. The breakfast was average, maybe below average. The room was a decent size, small windows facing a back alley (probably a legacy from its origins as a monastery). The bathroom has the worst design that I ever experienced. It was impossible to take a shower without flooding the bathroom. You need to use the towels to mop the bathroom floor and there were no hooks where to hang the towels (thank you for the sign "please be conscious of the environment and hang the towels for reuse" that made me feel awful every time I took a shower). The location is across the Tiber, up the hill and not close to any shopping area. I rated it with two stars, one for the swimming pool that was a perfect break after a hot day visiting Rome. The other goes to the service, very friendly employees specially the Bangladeshi porters. In summary, avoid this hotel.

        Price range of this hotel is certainly over any tight budget, but in terms of return on investment, I don't think there is anything better in Rome. At the feet of the Gianicolo hill, this hotel is a haven of peace, order, comfort, top notch service and good food, and just a 7 minute walk to the Vatican. Not all the 5 stars hotels in Rome deserve them. This one does 100%.
