Worst place we ever stayed. A manager and his wife, who seems to us as completely depressed, are running this place, treating the customers as unfriendly as possible right from check in. We felt not welcome from the beginning, like someone who should jonly handover the money without expecting any service or friendly interaction. Their facial expression were constantly frozen and very strange. Our 3 year old kids were permanently bothered by them, not to play at the pool with water or toys being around. He was constantly watching them like someone who has basic problems with children. Finally the worst was, that we actually booked for 5 nights and at the 2nd day this guy suddenly showed up and told us, that the must check out the next day, because he got another booking from someone else for our room. He just wanted to get someone new in, from who he can charge a few dollars more. After he refused any compensation, we had to call the tourist police to help us in our nightmare. For heaven's sake they were very helpful and we finally were able to leave the scenery. Also they refused to take our personal details like names and passports at checkin. It seems like they are renting this place illegally without paying tax and putting the money in their own pockets, not letting the owner know. Other guests reported similar issues with them when we talked to others after checkout. If you don't want to experience a similar nightmare like us, then avoid this place!

We stayed in many different places in Sri Lanka but this was definitely the best because the staff was so amazing. They helped us with everything. We were a bit sick during our stay so they helped us to get a doctor to the villa. They took us to many cool places by tuktuk/taxi. Breakfast was so delicious and coffee!! Nice pool, very clean room and a nice shower! Thank you:) I hope I can come back some day!

Fantastic service, calm and beautiful area and a short walk to the beach. Lots of fish a long the beach and even some giant turtles. If your looking for a place to return to after a hectic and hot day then this is great!

Would have been a 5 star experience but there was just one small issue. The owner is a very friendly individual and personally sees to all of his guest . The staff are also quite proactive in their service and go above and beyond in taking care of their guests. The rooms were excellent and the location and general atmosphere were equally as great. The only problem that myself and those that accompanied me ran into was a conflict with whom I assumed to be the manager. Without going into too much detail , I will simply leave it at this: If you are a local , don't expect much from the manager at this location. We were told point blank to our face that had he known that we were a local crowd he would have never even accepted our booking. He insulted both my friend and his wife with some very unsavory implications and presented himself and someone to be feared in that area. What could have been a delightful afternoon and a very nice villa quickly turned into an hour long argument between us (the paying customers) and the manager. Believe me , we understand that a person that has a job has to do their job, but there is a way to talk to people , and being prejudiced toward some guests because they are "local" is not a good way to run such a wonderful villa. Like I said though , apart from that incident, everything else was wonderful . The owner has maintained this place to perfection and the rest of the staff are extremely attentive and offered some of the best customer care I have experienced .

My family have stayed at Villa Tara a number of times, fantastic house, staff,food,setting & the best host. Great restaurants, bars & superb beach all within a 10 minute walk.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

For any special requests, please write in the designated section while booking on the Adani One platform. We will forward these requests to the hotel; however, please note that the hotel may or may not be able to accommodate them depending on availability at the time of check-in. Please be aware that fulfilling these requests may result in additional charges.

The hotel reserves the right of admission. The hotel may refuse to honour the booking if it determines that the property policies have been violated.

If the booking cannot be confirmed due to certain circumstances, Adani One will refund the entire amount to the original mode of payment.

If the hotel is unable to confirm or deny the booking, Adani One is not under any obligation to provide an alternate booking in lieu of the unconfirmed booking.

Adani One does not collect GSTIN details on behalf of the hotelier, you may request this information directly from the hotelier during the check-in process.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

In case of no show at the hotel, you'll be charged the entire booking amount.

Refund amount may take 10 working days to process to the respective account from which the payment was made during the booking.

Please be informed that your bank may debit its own separate charges from refunds made to your credit card or bank account.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
