We got to W Residence on a cloudy weekday afternoon and were taken to our room which was on the very top of the property passing the lobbies and the dining area which was very tastefully decorated with some beautiful original canvas paintings extending onto the walls in one case creating a wonderful immersive effect. Once we got to the room I was taken by the balcony which I stepped onto immediately to be greated by a soft gust of wind which brushed away any weariness I had leading to me taking the load off my feet and sitting on the balcony deck to enjoy the weather while soaking up the vista stretching as far as the Adams Peak on a clear day (as I was told by Thushara who took care of us during our stay). The room was spacious as was the bathroom where we washed away while waiting for the pizza we ordered which we then enjoyed on the sky deck. A few relatives joined us for dinner and a drink which Thushara helped arrange for us and we left in the morning on transport which was also arranged by Thushara (no mean feat considering the fuel rationing that was going on in the country at the time) after a smooth mug of coffee and a tasty Lawariya (local sweet). Great stay which I hope to repeat. Highly recommended.

Such a calm environment with a beautiful view of the kandy city. Very satisfied about the service. The staff is really friendly. They have pretty cool family rooms. Can’t get enough of the beautiful view from the bed itself. Recommend for whoever wanna experiences waking up in heaven. I will definitely go there once I’m in Kandy next time!

The Hotel Staff was nice but we got quite a few misunderstanding re the price. And then we had to change the rooms (it was 4 of us, with 2 rooms) to the family room as one of the rooms was mouldy/stinky...and didnt had the 2 rooms as previously booked. Beside the one mouldy room, the room were quite big but not really charming. Overall it was alright, the location is nice with pretty views. However for the price we expected a better service and higher quality of the rooms.

TERRIBLE! Stay away. New hotel that doesn't know management, very dirty room, curtain broken doesn't work, hair on bed sheets, dust ALL over the room even on the side tables of bed and bed wood. Told management to change the room they said they can't. Booked for two nights had to check out from the first night. Made my trip to sri lanka horrible, waste of time and money! Most expensive we stayed in. Had so much better service and rooms in much cheaper places. Even the owner doesn't care because i made sure they gave him a call. STAY AWAY!!!!

The property is good. It is new. Rooms are clean and everything. The staff (owner and a helper) is also good. But this place is in a god foresaken locality in some hills. It is very far from the city centre and not advisable if you are here for a day or two and want to explore the city. You will end up paying a bomb for the tuk tuk (which will come only if you call). Had a very bad experience locating the place. Though the view from the hotel is good. But hotel view is not why you go to a new city as a tourist. The cherry on the top was that on the last day there was some hot water issue in the bathroom and the entire bathroom was leaking. Very soon entire hotel seemed to be flooded. Luckily we were checking out.
