I've been there with my parents back in 2011. The owner Phil is a very kind and lovely guy I loved french fries back then and they didn't hesitate to buy potatoes for me every day even though they were rarely to get in Labuan Bajo back then. We had the room right under the honeymoon suite and so we had an exceptional view over the bay, the island on the opposite to the hotel and even Labuan Bajo in the far. The food was amazing and the rooms were really really clean. I'll never forget the 168 stairs we had to walk up and down every day, the fact that I still know the exact number of stairs shows how much I enjoyed my stay there and keep in mind, it's 12 years ago. We loved it there and we'd love to come back in the future, just hope the hotel still exists.

If you want to feel nature, this is the place to be. This was written from memory in 2018 and may be different now. The location is at the end of this peninsula and in our case we took a boat to our hotel. Now (2023), I don't think we will be traveling by boat as the roads have been cleared... My advice is not to stay there if you have weak legs and feet. I warn you, I do not recommend staying here if you have weak legs and feet, because you have to go up a flight of stairs to get to your room, which even a normal person would have trouble doing. The room was double-booked for the first few days, so we were supposed to stay with 4 people, but we had to split up with 2 people for a few days. We stayed in a room called the honeymoon suite for two, which had a bed outside and a great view of the beach from a high point, surrounded by trees. There was some kind of insecticide or something, so I didn't think we had to worry too much about bugs. The other two stayed in a twin room. I don't know many details, but I was sure they were even higher than the honeymoon suite. That may have changed now, though. A few days later, we were able to stay in a family room. Toilets and showers had good water and no problems. It also came with a hammock so we could relax and spend some time outside. The restaurant is located at the bottom of the building, but if it was busy at dinner, we sometimes had to wait 30 minutes for our food to come. Breakfast was served quickly, but if it was something sweet, flies were all over it and it was disturbing. The beach was very clean and had lots of fish. There were not many people on the beach, so we were able to relax and swim. As a result, I think it was a great stay. I feel like the prices are skyrocketing right now, but if you can look past some of the drawbacks and really want to relax, I would recommend this place. Once again, I would not recommend this place to anyone with a bad leg or back or who likes to keep clean.

This place is a complete shambles. I paid for 4 nights and after the first night, I chose to check out. My room was swarmed with cockroaches, caterpillar & a variety of other insects, so much so that I had to seal off the entire bathroom to avoid them spilling over into the main sleeping room. The price of this accommodation is stupidly high in comparison to what you’d expect to receive. The staff are somewhat helpful but when it comes down to asking for a refund, you’re directed towards an email address because the owner is not around. Complete and utter scam of a property, if you wish to enjoy your trip to Labuan Bajo, avoid this place at all costs!!!!! I have provided video & photographic evidence to show what I had to deal with, only to be directed towards an email address to contact about the refund. 0/5 absolutely would not recommend. I would rather sleep on the beach & get eaten alive by the huge number of mosquitoes that are healed, as well as sand mites which is inevitable.

0/5 this place was awful. Trust the reviews that say the positives ones are fake, I wish we had. After a dangerous walk down a dodgy dirt path with thousands of mosquitoes. We arrived at a dirty venue. Pictures are completely misleading and for the price you pay, you get a bog standard dirty room which looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in months. It would be fine if it wasn’t so overpriced. When we requested to cancel the booking we were refused as the ‘owner’ is in France and no one else can issue refunds. The owner is uncontactable and it feels like a scam. The location is also really inconvenient for anything. They do provide a boat to go into town and for when you arrive if you pre book. But that is your only option unless you want to walk up the mountain again.
