I wavered between four and five stars, but went with five because of the friendliness of those friendly members of the hotel team and because of the room and view. When you open those giant windows and look out unto the neon glow of the Shanghai skyline...wow. The room itself is cool too. I'm a sucker for the misting glass that separates the bathroom from the bedroom. Bed was ultra comfortable. My hesitation to give five stars comes from the feeling you get that the hotel has a paint job of accomplishment sometimes. The heated pool is coldish, the sauna is just a warm box, the fruit in the room was delicious but never refilled. It's all tiny stuff - and, I mean, you're being treated pretty damn well - but if you want to be the top of the hotel charts, you got to be flawless. But, without a doubt, stay here for a pretty fantastic luxury experience.

The best hotel in Shanghai -- We did a lot of research on potential high class hotels in Shanghai and finally ended up with the Wanda Reign on the Bund. It was absolutely the right decision to select this hotel! We enjoyed a perfect stay at this hotel and every single employee of the facility was so super polite and helpful. Starting with the chauffeur who picked us up from PVG Airport, followed by the super nice guest relationship manager who personally welcomed and also escorted us to our room with a perfect bund view, finalized by the super dedicated team of the hotel's own restaurant River Drunk. We'll definitively have another stay at Wanda Reign on the Bund!

Luxury hotel near the Bund. The hotel is clad inside with marble at every location. Service is ok but it helps greatly to speak some mandarin. The room is well appointed with heated toilet and electric glass. A small iPad runs the curtains and lights. Food at the restaurants is excellent. It is a busy hotel with various events. Worth a stay if you have some Chinese language. Location is good.

Over a month ago we had the PLEASURE of staying 3 nights at the Wanda Reign. Beautiful hotel, fabulous location and fantastic service!!! I have to mention staff who were so helpful and friendly: Nikolas Chatzipetros, the manager; Miranda; Cecilia; Martin and Aiden in the dining room and chef Anthony; Dennis; and all the women at the front desk who checked us in and out. Nearly every employee seemed eager to help in an unforced way. The location is perfect for viewing the sweep of the older buildings on the Bund -particularly spectacular at night. And, the hotel is SO beautiful. Special artwork, inlaid floors, marble everything and design details are superb. Shanghai can seem overwhelming so the guidance that we got from the staff as we started out and then to return to the luxury of the hotel at the end of the day was so beneficial. I've been singing Wanda Reigns praises and hope that some of my friends enjoy being there as much as my husband and I did. Wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else in Shanghai.

Though did not stay at this hotel, but having read reviews, went there for dinner and drinks at the hotel Chinese restaurant (named River Drunk), and the hotel lounge on roof level (named the Marc Lounge). Having visited numerous hotels in Shanghai, this is one of the most beautifully and thoughtfully designed hotel interiors. The interior design of art deco fusion with Chinese antiquities and opulence of marbles, floral patterns, jade, and tiles, it is dramatic with theatrical flair, that definitely give its habitants an visual and spatial experience. From the entry lobby to the hallways, not a detail is spared. Elegance with decadence. The Japanese Restaurant in the hotel was empty during our visit, what a luxury to enjoy such beautiful volume with exquisite play of light from the ceiling to the walls down to the marble floors. Colors, geometry, ambiance, space and lines. If you are seeking an experience, highly recommend Wanda Reign on the Bund. The exterior, supposedly designed partnered with the famed Foster and Partners. This hotel sits next door to the famed arts building designed by Foster & Partners + Thomas Heatherwick. Sits across the street from the fairly new Shiliupu terminal on the Huangpu River. For the price, this place is a total hidden gem for adventure travelers. Walk across the street to the terminal for a river cruise at night. It is a must stay while in Shanghai.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
