We stayed at the Yeng Keng Hotel for 3 nights in January, and were really excited about our stay, based on the excellent reviews we saw online prior to our visit. The hotel is in a fantastic location - it couldn't get any better! The grounds are simply stunning and the staff are excellent. However, for a 4* hotel, there were a couple of things/ attention to detail that were lacking in our opinion. Understandable, it's a heritage hotel and not much can be done in terms of making rooms larger etc, but the bathroom was a bit worn, and could have done with some more work. The breakfast was quite poor with not a lot of option. The eggs, sausages etc weren't the best. In all, a fantastic hotel with an unbeatable location, but requires some more attention to detail to match other 4* hotels in the country.

Such a wonderful place to stay in Georgetown. The staff here were the best out of all the places we stayed in town. Always polite and friendly. I would prefer more comfortable furniture in the living area, but everything else was great.

I stayed at this beautiful hotel in the heart of Georgetown from January18 to January 22. My stay was extremely pleasant due to the fabulous service and cooperation by its Manager Miss Yeoh and front desk staff namely Raj, Ian, iswary and Nazri. They were incredibly guest focused and nothing was too much trouble. If I have the opportunity to visit Penang again, then, Yeng Keng Hotel will be my choice.

We stayed here for four nights, then went to Langkawi. We had planned to stay at a very expensive hotel for another week when we returned to Penang, however, we had such a great time here the first time that we chose to cancel the other reservation and came back to the Yeng Keng. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was good. The restaurant was too. It is located in a fantastic location in the heart of Chulia street, but the room was so quiet you couldn’t tell. When I next return to Georgetown, I hope to stay here.

The Yeng Keng Hotel was a wonderful place to stay in Penang. First and foremost Ms. Yeoh and her staff, Devraj and Ian were exceptional. The hotel is a beautiful combination of Indian and Chinese history, architecture and furnishings. There is a beautiful breakfast of traditional Malay, Nyonya and contemporary choices along with award winning kueh. There is a free taxi ride once a day within the historic district. Even so, the hotel is well-located - near the ocean and many local markets. Ian and Devraj were a rich resource of good and interesting things to do and how to get there - and most importantly in Penang, they knew the best places to eat - from whole-in-the-wall to the more upscale restos. I recommend the Yeng Keng Hotel without hesitation.

Booking Policy

It is mandatory for all guests to present valid government photo ID’s at the time of check-in.

The primary guests check-in into the hotel must meet the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Extra guests are subject to availability. And it might incur additional charges.

If guests are traveling with a child or children, it is necessary to specify the number of children accompanying them during the hotel booking process to avoid any last-minute complications.

Underage guests are only allowed to check-in with at least one parent or official guardian who fulfils the age requirements set by either the local government or the hotel’s policies.

Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.

The price paid to Adani One includes room charges, taxes, the specified inclusions mentioned during the booking and convenience fee, if appliable. It does not cover additional services and expenses at the hotel.

Taxes, levies, charges, and any similar government fees, if applicable, will be imposed by the relevant authorities in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located. The guest is responsible for paying all such charges, as applicable.

Guests are required to adhere to any special instructions provided by the hotel. Failure to comply may result in the hotel's right to deny the booking or terminate the stay immediately.

Hotel Cancellation Policy

User can cancel their booking through the Adani One website or app until the check-in date and time. The refund for such cancellations will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Adani One has no say over the refund amount.

Users can only cancel the entire booking. Partial cancellations, such as canceling specific room(s), a portion of the total nights, or specific guests out of the entire group, are not permitted.

User should not cancel the booking directly with the hotel. If a user cancels the booking directly with the hotel, Adani One will not be responsible for any refund.

Cancellation requests made through the online platform or via phone calls are the only valid and accepted methods.

Any cancellation requests made directly to the hotel will not be the responsibility of Adani One.

If you fail to cancel your reservation within the designated cancellation period, as specified by the hotel you booked, you will be responsible for paying the applicable nightly rates, tax recovery charges, and service fees imposed by the hotel. If you do not show up for the first night of your reservation but still plan to check in for the remaining nights, you must inform Adani One of any changes to your reservation no later than the scheduled arrival date for the first night. This is necessary to prevent the cancellation of your entire reservation.

In case of no show at the hotel, you'll be charged the entire booking amount.

Modification and Reschedule Policy

Once the booking is initiated, the user can’t change the name of primary guest, number of guests, age of child/children, number of rooms, and check-in/check-out date and time.

After the booking is confirmed, user will need to cancel their existing booking to create a new one to make any changes such as updating the primary guest, modifying the number of guests, specifying the age of child/children, adjusting the number of rooms, or changing the check-in/check-out date and time etc.
