Music at Zevenwacht: Fantastic venue - excellent set up - exceptionally efficient staff - magnificent setting- well laid out and planned - brilliant food trucks - the pre ordered picnics were generous and delicious! The concert was fabulous- and we loved being so up close to Jeremy Loops ! Only complaint was the crowd - seriously !??why go to an open concert in a park if you are not prepared to share your patch of grass, and allow people walk past you or smile and get up and dance and enjoy the music? Stay at home and be grumpy there rather - your entitlement isn’t in keeping with the spirit of what makes South Africa so great !

Went to Zewenwacht to celebrate my birthday with a few friends. Pre-ordered 8 baskets and it was R650/basket shared between 2 people. The food was terrible and lacking. If I had known what I was getting served I would’ve gone to another wine farm. I should’ve taken better photos of the food. Couldn’t tell apart the cheesecake from the quiche, they looked the same 😂 The only enjoyable thing was the chicken and the potatoes. They also don’t provide blankets or pillows for the picnic, you have to bring your own. It was just all very underwhelming for the price you pay.

We had a amazing experience at the Zevenwacht Wine Tasting, can't believe I have been staying around the corner to this gem, staff was super friendly and welcoming, the wines were amazing, the cheese and meat platter was fantastic and very well priced for the amount of food you get. Definitely going back soon, be sure to book a week in advance as they are always fully booked over weekends.

My Zevenwacht wine estate picnic experience was regrettably disappointing, warranting a 3-star review. The decision to serve wine in plastic cups detracted from the overall quality, and the lack of service during the picnic was a notable drawback, especially compared to other estates with full -service, private picnic areas. We were handed our basket, bucket of ice, with a bottle of water and our selection of wine, and sent off into the grounds to find our place. Additionally, the unkempt grounds of the picnic area left much to be desired, contributing to an overall unpleasant atmosphere. While the food provided in the basket was nice, I hope these aspects can be addressed for an improved customer experience in the future.
