Get up close and personal with nature while staying at the luxurious Lebua Corbett!
Looking to spend a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of Delhi, I recently visited Jim Corbett National Park. I travelled solo and stayed at the incredibly luxurious Lebua Corbett Jungle Resort. Bordering the national park, Lebua promises a rare encounter with nature at its best.
There are as many as 47 aesthetically designed villas, suites, and residences spread over 9 acres of land. The moment I arrived, I was greeted warmly with music, a garland, and a welcome drink. With that, I got a fair idea about the superb hospitality I was going to get during my stay there.
The property offers all the modern conveniences. Having a private patio made my stay there even more comfortable. I love going for nature walks to soak in the charms of the jungle. And that’s why, bespoke safaris, birding, and nature walks offered by the resort were the highlight of my trip.
The location of the resort is secluded, and thus, while booking my suite, I chose to include all my meals. The restaurant served American, Chinese, and British cuisines. I am a vegan, and I had ample choice!
Located in the middle of the wilderness, Lebua Corbett offers nature lovers (like me) a luxurious retreat so that we can explore indigenous wildlife at its most spectacular. If you don’t want to miss your workout even on vacation, you can spend time at the outdoor swimming pool or hit the gym. My favourite was swimming in the infinity pool (opposite Azrak Restaurant) that overlooks the forest. The light blue hue was so inviting, and rightly so. I enjoyed it thoroughly!
That's not all. Lebua also offers fascinating telescope programmes, croquet, billiards, horse riding, table tennis, cycling, and children's activities. The property will offer world-class spa services with several treatment options very soon.
This luxury jungle resort in Corbett National Park has rooms for various budgets. You can choose from a double room, standard double or twin room with a balcony, premium villa, suite with a balcony, and two-bedroom suite.
The view is incredible from all rooms. The villas here are enveloped by lush green gardens, forests, and mountains. Covering 700 sq ft, suites offer a balcony as well from where you can stargaze and enjoy the gorgeous moonrise.
And the best accommodation option, Residences, is the most spacious one. Here you can enjoy breathtaking views of Jim Corbett National Park from the comfort of your room! There is a separate living area, a day bed, and a private terrace from where you can enjoy the diamond-studded sky at night.
All the rooms are equipped with modern amenities.
If you are interested in trying the cuisine from Kumaon and Garhwal, Azrak is perfect for you. This all-day restaurant at the resort has chefs who have retained Awadhi roots in their cooking practices to offer guests delicious Awadhi food preparations.
For beverages, head to Saraca Bar, which recreates the classic era with its home-infused spirits. Munch on scrumptious snacks while enjoying a glass of wine in a beautiful setting!
Tanya, the manager of the property, is very friendly and sweet. I could see the F&B Manager, Praveen, made sure that guests are eating well. Chef Subodh’s specialty, Pahari Thali, was excellent. My guide, Surya, kept me engaged throughout the jungle walk with his interesting local stories. It was a fun trip, and I wish I could stay for a bit longer in the lap of nature.
In short, Lebua Corbett is a magical place to stay and unwind! Incredible location, great staff, the ideal selection of food and drinks, and happy hours — my stay at this 5-star property is memorable due to innumerable reasons.
Listening to the sounds of nature while meditating in the morning was my favourite part of the day. I absolutely loved going for leisure walks in the serene environment. Delectable food and unforgettable hospitality were the additional benefits.
Jim Corbett National Park is the second-largest tiger reserve in India after Sunderbans and is extremely rich in a diverse variety of flora and fauna. The oozing natural beauty of the park comprises river belts, hills, marshy depressions, large lakes, and grasslands. Here, you can roam around in the lap of nature on an elephant's back or an open jeep. You can also spot leopards, Asiatic elephants, and crocodiles here, along with royal Bengal tigers. I could spot two tigers and an elephant, but no leopards. A year-round attraction, Jim Corbett National Park enjoys a moderate climate, but you might want to plan your trip according to the season: October to March The national park enjoys pleasant weather starting in October. The lush greenery is sure to leave you awestruck! November marks the beginning of the winter season, and this is also the time when the core area of the park opens up to visitors. April to June This is the summer season in the park, and it is also the best time to spot tigers! Please note that the core area of the park is closed from mid-June onwards owing to the onset of the rainy season. July to September Constituting the monsoon season, these months are perfect for nature lovers. Some parts of the park remain closed from the beginning of July to mid-November. Since this is the off-season, expect fewer crowds and more peace here. Being a travel writer by profession, I have stayed in all kinds of accommodations. But Lebua Corbett has become one of my favourites in India. I had a memorable stay at this 5-star jungle resort, and I plan to go there again. Happy travelling!
