Ganpatipule: Where Sun, Sand, and Spirituality Meet

Our first stop along this group travel adventure was Ganpatipule in Maharashtra, a charming coastal town known for its beautiful beaches and the revered Swayambhu Ganpati Temple. Strolling along the golden sands of Ganpatipule Beach, we basked in the tranquil atmosphere, enjoying the gentle sea breeze. The Swayambhu Ganpati Temple is located on the beach itself and attracts thousands of devotees and tourists throughout the year. We joined the crowd of devotees, prayed and experienced a deep sense of spirituality together.

Ratnagiri Unveiled: Forts, Mangoes, and Coastal Charms

As we moved further south, we arrived at Ratnagiri, a historical town that holds numerous cultural treasures and delights for group travellers. We explored the imposing Ratnadurg Fort, perched atop a hill, and took in the breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea. The magnificent fort served as a great backdrop for group photos. Ratnagiri is famous for its delectable Alphonso mangoes. Indulge in a mango fest with your travel companions, if it's in season.

Malvan: Aquatic Adventures and Culinary Delights

Our next group travel haven was Malvan, a coastal paradise in Maharashtra that is known for its water sports and mouthwatering seafood. It's a perfect destination for group travellers seeking adventure and culinary delights. Diving into the turquoise waters of Tarkarli Beach and indulging in exhilarating water sports—such as snorkeling and scuba diving—fulfilled our craving for adventure. We explored the vibrant underwater world together, where we discovered colourful corals and exotic marine life. After an exciting day of water activities, we wanted to explore the freshest seafood delicacies that Malvan offered. From succulent Surmai (kingfish) fry to flavourful Tisrya (clam) curry, Malvan's culinary offerings left us craving more!

Goa Uncovered: Group Escapades Beyond the Tourist Trail

As we headed to the much-loved beach destination of Goa, its bustling nightlife and famous beaches offered plenty of group-friendly experiences. We made a memorable visit to Palolem Beach in South Goa, a picturesque stretch of coastline known for its golden sands and tranquil atmosphere, and indulged in thrilling water sports like banana boat rides and jet skiing. In the evenings, we ventured to the local beachside shacks to savour mouthwatering Goan delicacies such as spicy prawn curry, crispy fish fry, and refreshing coconut-based cocktails. We also made a day trip to Old Goa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and explored the ancient churches like the Basilica of Bom Jesus.

Gokarna Revealed: Group Travel Bliss on Karnataka's Coast

Our final group travel destination along the Konkan coast was Gokarna in Karnataka. This small temple town offers a serene and spiritual atmosphere, making it an ideal destination for group travellers seeking moments of tranquillity and introspection. We headed to the renowned Om Beach, named so for its distinctive sacred symbol "Om" shape. While basking in the sun, we participated in group meditation sessions in an effort to embark on a journey of self-discovery. This was followed by a visit to the famous Mahabaleshwar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Witnessing the rituals performed by devotees, we experienced a deep sense of spirituality together. We partook in the Amrutanna Prasada Bhojan, a free prasad bhojan with unlimited curd rice, and rice with papad and rasam. On our final day, we were in for a treat as we visited the family of a friend and enjoyed a homemade meal in the evening. The experience of eating the delicious patrode, curries made with coconut and spices along with steamed rice was a fitting end to our travels. We were filled with a deep sense of gratitude for our hosts, who gladly served us with grace and generosity.
