I was looking for a certified luxurious wellness centre in nature. What better place than the winner of the National Tourism Award for the Best Wellness Centre? So, we headed to Atmantan at Mulshi Lake.
The word Atmantan comes from 'Atma' or soul. This appealed to my soul in every sense. I was looking for a targeted detox experience, and Atmanan let me select my goal and design my wellness escape.
When I got there, an aesthetically designed villa greeted me. I had booked the three-night Master Cleanser, and I could feel every cell in my body rejuvenate with the medically-driven detoxification treatments. The naturopathy-led liver clearance treatment truly got my inner energy going.
I spent evenings strolling along the lakeside. I soaked in the breeze to unwind. I dug into nutritious meals without an iota of guilt! I followed this up with a plunge into the salt pool for an uplifting mineral soak! It was the perfect precursor to start the year on a fresh and positive note!

Being up, close and personal with these majestic beings offered a one-of-a-kind introspection! It enhances emotional awareness, social skills, impulse control, confidence, trust, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
It is said that a human does not choose his horse, the horse chooses its human! Cuddling and communicating with horses opened up new avenues of animal understanding!
While not satisfying my animal obsession, I enjoyed hiking in the surrounding nature trails. The cherry on top was learning the craft of artisanal cheese-making using fresh and organically grown ingredients right on their farms!
