If there's one thing that I'd go back to Bengaluru for, it would be its nightlife, without a doubt.
I hail from a tiny hamlet tucked away in the Himalayas. Yet I have spent 6 to 7 years in some of the most bustling metropolitan cities of India. And I believe that cities, at night, are a whole different world. If you happen to venture out during special occasions – such as Christmas or New Year – it’ll seem as if the day has just begun, and you’re the one with a weird sleeping schedule! Loud strains of music and dazzling lights are only the beginning, and Bengaluru – which is popularly known as the Silicon Valley of India – is no different.
Bengaluru is known for its pleasant weather year-round, natural beauty, and tons of history. The city boasts world-class nightclubs, microbreweries, and dance clubs. Irrespective of what you're looking for, you'll find it in Bengaluru. So, without further ado, let me walk you through this guide to help you discover the ideal places to enjoy Bengaluru's nightlife.

If "on top of the world" was a phrase personified, it would be Skyye Lounge. It is one of the liveliest nightclubs in Bangalore, famous for its perfectly lit dance floor, great music, circular bar counter, and rooftop swimming pool. However, what caught my eye was the breathtaking bird’s-eye view of the city that the lounge offers.
In addition, Skyye Lounge offers a wide selection of cuisines – ranging from Continental, Asian, Thai, and Italian – to accompany your dance and drinks. We opted for Italian and were not disappointed. Overall, Skyye is the place to be if you are eager to explore what Bangalore is really like after sunset. When I visited Skyye, I enjoyed the selection of music and the outstanding cocktails! What more could you ask for?

If rooftop views are not your cup of tea, then this dark, forest-like retreat in Bangalore might pique your interest. It features expansive indoor and outdoor seating, which is always a plus. What I found particularly appealing about the place was the ambience, which was earthy and grounding. Pebble is an ideal choice for those who enjoy live performances. The menu is pretty extensive, and the food is simply fantastic.

in my experience, The 13th Floor is the perfect place for the hopeless romantics who are looking forward to spending a memorable evening with their loved ones. If it wasn’t obvious from the name, the place is located on the thirteenth floor of the Barton Center, affording magnificent panoramic views of the city. When I was there, I was so captivated by the overall atmosphere that I re-enacted a scene from one of my favourite books, where the protagonist remarks, “the-view-is-pretty-but-you’re-more”.
And if even this doesn't convince you, the ambience certainly will. The mellow lighting is calming and the menu features a selection of mouth-watering dishes from several cuisines, including Asian, Thai, and North Indian. So, if you're seeking to indulge in lip-smacking food and a tranquil ambience in Bangalore, The 13th Floor will undoubtedly make your night worth it.

During one of my visits to Bangalore with a few college friends, we found ourselves struggling to decide on a place to enjoy some good food and drinks. It was then that one of my friends suggested NoLimmits Lounge. And oh boy, what a decision it turned out to be!
We visited this place on a Sunday, which is karaoke night at NoLimmits. The club was buzzing with energy, with everyone revelling in the vibe, including my friends. Without a doubt, NoLimmits is a hit among party-goers in the city. Whether you have a group of friends looking for a joyride or just a couple of buddies who want to enjoy drinks in a cosy ambience, this place has it all.
What sets NoLimmits apart is its extensive range of spirits and dishes, from North Indian to Continental and Chinese cuisines, making it a must-visit for a good time in Bangalore. But that’s not the coolest thing yet. They have not one, but two dance floors! And while I didn't dance, those who don't shy away from shaking a leg in public can make the most of it at this spot. NoLimmits is the place to let loose and have a blast.

I absolutely love places that boast warm lighting and aesthetically pleasing decor. And that's how I discovered Byg Brewski – what was supposed to be just a rain shelter for me one evening in Bangalore and turned out to be one of my favourite hangouts in the city. Byg Brewski is a well-known name in Bangalore’s nightlife scene and I understood why when I experienced the place myself.
Byg Brewski serves creatively brewed craft beers that pair well with their delicious finger food. The menu here features Indian, Continental, and Southeast Asian fare that promises to elevate your spirit as the party gets started.

A friend of mine, who is a big-time theatre and drama enthusiast, was visiting Bangalore for the first time. Obviously, it was up to me to take her to a place that she'd like.
That's when I stumbled upon Shakesbierre, a resto-bar. All I can say is that it is exactly the kind of place where a theatre and literature enthusiast would love to spend time.
Shakesbierre caters to weekend hangouts, family dine-out, friends' get-togethers, and even corporate events. Their dedication to the Shakespearean era reflects is evident in their decor and the ambience is a treat to the senses. Besides, they also provide an extensive menu offering dishes from all over the world – so you can rest assured that there is something for everyone here. And if you feel like singing your heart out, there is a karaoke room too. Seems like a good deal to me!

And this brings us to the end of my list of night-out havens in Bangalore. Do any of them catch your fancy? Did you spot any of your favourites on the list? Of course, there will be plenty of places you’ll discover beyond this list. Just be sure to enjoy your night to the fullest!
